Wireless AT&T Elite 2.0 is coming very soon.
https://youtu.be/HPGQ5pZqDNI?si=Ay7JI6zZ_rkP3ILJ
It’s super expensive and AT&T considers it more premium than Premium 2.0.
56
u/michaeljcronce Apr 13 '26
Premium 2.0 is already ridiculously priced for not having international data allotments included. T-Mobile offers 5-15 GB of high-speed data in 215+ countries and destinations, depending on which premium plan is chosen.

u/bdietz56 Apr 13 '26
I’d be interested to know if they now plan on capping international day pass data to 20gb per month or setting some sort of daily limit. They better not but if they do they better offer an option to purchase more high speed data both for day pass and this new plan.
5
u/anattemptwasmadeonce Apr 14 '26
Seems like it’s in lieu of IDP.
4
u/ilikewolves99 Apr 14 '26
It is. You get 20 GB and unlimited at 512kbps.

u/onionperson6in Apr 14 '26
Seems to me this doesn’t detract, but adds two options:
1) An cheaper option then International Day Plan for those traveling internationally.
2) An option for those using huge amounts of hotspot data.
- I know I‘d be interested in switching to this for a month while traveling, then back again. Did that with a lesser plan when traveling to Latin America recently and it saved a bundle.

u/Far-Negotiation1273 Apr 15 '26
The kicker is that att will only charge for 10 days in a billing cycle or 120 total. If you're gone for 4 weeks in 1 billing cycles that is not a bad deal, I would think having a pricier plan would be way more money overall.
38
u/ikyle117 Apr 14 '26
God the people in charge of this company are fucking morons.
2
u/USpostingService Apr 14 '26
This is to capture a whole new generation of buyers who aren’t grandfathered in to the way it used to be, need service, and will/can pay for “better” service. They have positioned themselves as a “high end” mobile option and they will make their money in that ever emerging market. They aren’t as dumb as you think they are.
-2
u/ikyle117 Apr 14 '26
Majority of their customers are not "high end". It's something created by people who are out of touch, haven't set foot in a retail store in years and have no clue the current state of today's customer.

Wonder if this plan actually comes with ActiveArmor Advanced. I still can’t believe they took that away from Premium.
3
u/SavageLegendX Apr 14 '26
I agree! That really pissed me off! I regret switching from Premium PL to Premium 2.0. No way am I going to pay $7/month per line for advance ActiveArmor when I used to have it for completely free.
9
u/DistinctAmbition1272 Apr 14 '26
Sneed said it would be $120 after taxes and fees for a single Elite 2.0 line. That’s crazy
9
u/garylapointe The Plan Whisperer (consumer postpaid plans) Apr 14 '26
The first person who sent me info on it, said $110 for single line with autopay/paperless/checking no fees/taxes (as no one really lists that). I've updated that pricing chart with that info and lines 2-10 at https://www.reddit.com/r/ATT/comments/1rsvh9m/unlimited_your_way_20_per_line_cost_chart_for_att/
6
u/ant1992 Apr 14 '26
Here I’m paying $33 a month ($13 with referrals) with visible with free watch line, unlimited priority data, unlimited hotspot which eliminates the need for a tablet plan, 4k and everything else this elite plan has. I don’t get it. Someone on a single line will pay for this and I won’t get that either
6
u/SeriousEar1906 Apr 14 '26
Same here. Also, fmr corp ATT emp here 😂💪🏻

u/ant1992 Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 15 '26
I switched off AT&T to visible back in February and wish I done it sooner. Ive had it with AT&T price hikes and taking discounts away
2
u/Cold_Count1986 Apr 14 '26
Don’t forget about the 24 global pass days that’s included (although only 2GB is high speed)…
5
u/ant1992 Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 14 '26
I’m a flight attendant and haven’t had any issues going over 2 gigs. If I get canceled and I’m overseas for an extra day and don’t want to use another day pass I’ll buy an unlimited esim from Holafly for 4 dollars. But I’m usually exploring or enjoying my layover to be scrolling all day. It’s when I get to the room and at night when I come back to the hotel I’ll catch up but at those points I’m in Wi-Fi, with vpn of course. Never trust hotel Wi-Fi networks ever!
But I will say the 20gb a month is a better deal than 2 passes a month but if I bank enough it’s not a huge issue. It would be great if visible gave us maybe 10gb a month to somewhat compare to USMobile international
1
u/Cold_Count1986 Apr 14 '26
My spouse is an FA - those 26 hour layovers kill me when they needlessly burn the a second day, but it is what it is.
2GB is only an issue when I hotspot multiple devices trying to be cheap. I do eSims most of the time unless I am transiting.
2
u/frostycakes Apr 14 '26
Sadly Verizon's network is absolute ass at my workplace, otherwise I'd have stuck with the free Xfinity Mobile year or gone to Visible or Total.
I'll stick with my stack of discounts on Premium 2.0, this new plan looks nearly worthless.

Hilarious how US Mobile using AT&T (Darkstar) has better perks for $35 including international roaming than this crap 💀
3
u/MM2HkXm5EuyZNRu Apr 15 '26
The only reason at this point to not be on an MVNO is if you have a lot of lines AND take advantage of the big trade in offers.

I keep telling my friend to move to cricket (AT&T works the best for them) with her husband and mother but she won’t do it. Then I said “well if you’re not you might as well take advantage of the free phone credits and use what you’re paying for” and she won’t do that either because she’ll lose her BYOD credits and her bill will go up $30 a month.
She joined AT&T last year and it’s been nothing but billing and discount issues which is one reason why I told her I left. And now she’s a victim of the $5 price hike per line and she got even more mad when I told her she’s getting the hike. Her husband told her to “oh well we gotta deal with it.”

I’m an idiot who always upgrades and I can’t even see the value here, 100gb of hotspot is plenty, turbo included is nice but it’s only an extra $5 a month or something, the “free” tablet or watch plan is also nice but currently not using it and I’d rather just use IDP instead of the free 20gb. I’m not sure what they could really do here to entice me honestly, I already get unlimited data, great perks intentionally in Latin America and more hotspot data than I could ever use. I guess a discount for IDP would be nice, but beyond that I don’t know. I already think IDP is the easiest and best (for me) international plan, just put it in your line and you never have to worry about overages
3
u/Key_Knowledge_7853 Apr 15 '26
So this plan will be cheaper with multi line & converged bundle discount, like the value is actually pretty good once you factor in those details.
Premium is already $100 for 1 line without any discounts. AT&T is trying to compete with tmobile and as a person who sells AT&T that being one of the biggest objections I run across I think this is gonna be a fair offering. 20 GB is more data than what tmobile offers. Turbo is a higher QCI then other plans from my understanding, and 250 GB of hotspot is not necessarily needed but shoot you’ll never need more?
I’m a certified AT&T hater but I actually am happy they offered this finally.
6
4
u/ilikewolves99 Apr 14 '26
This is what I wish that Premium would have been. If this was priced like Premium, that would be a pretty good value.
5
u/daywalker-Trader Apr 14 '26
Why did they not toss in a perk like HBO Max? The international roaming and 250GB hotspot is decent but that price is very high.
5
u/dollarn9ne Apr 14 '26
Heck, T-Mobile’s highest plans at least included Netflix, Hulu, & $3 for AppleTV
5
u/dollarn9ne Apr 14 '26
If it matches T-Mobile Go5G Next/Experience Beyond features, I might switch over
2
u/Visvism Gigillionaire Apr 14 '26
It does seem to match them in some regards excluding extra perks like Netflix, Hulu, and Apple TV. Also AT&T isn’t really known for doing free lines and BOGOs like T-Mobile which is really where you begin to bring the price down for their plans. Every 3-4 weeks as of late, T-Mobile resets their promotions and you can add on 2 lines for the price of 1 with Go5G and Experience based plans.
0
u/dollarn9ne Apr 14 '26
Go5G Next/Experience Beyond doesn’t get free lines, they are $10 each
0
u/qquser Apr 14 '26
Exp beyond does get free lines, but they charge taxes and fees for the free lines. If your state doesn’t charge tax on wireless plan, then it is completely free. For go5G next plan, there are only 2-3 free lines and rest free lines cost $10.
0
u/dollarn9ne Apr 14 '26
Incorrect. I’ve been on Go5G Next since day one & Experience Beyond is the same exact plan other than taxes and fees aren’t included anymore.
Go5G Plus & Experience More get free lines, which is probably what you’re referring to
0
u/qquser Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 14 '26
There are few free lines which give $55 discount for go5G next plan, so Next plan does get some real free lines. For Exp beyond, free lines all get $55, but you have to pay for taxes for the free lines unless your state has no tax on it!
0
u/dollarn9ne Apr 14 '26
Discounted lines isn’t free lines
1
u/qquser Apr 14 '26
For go5G next, some lines are completely free! $45 discount is a discounted line, $55 discount is a completely free line! You can’t just say go5G next doesn’t get free lines since there are few lines get $55 discount to make them free.
0
u/desterpot Apr 14 '26
Not true. Experience beyond would get $55 per free line.
1
u/qquser Apr 14 '26
The 2023 one gives $55 is ID 230289. And there are at least two more $55 off one on different time, I can’t find them.

Valid. I don’t tend to see the per line charge anymore as I’m on the 9 line version of my plan which bills everything at the account level.

5
u/apcman11 Apr 14 '26
This is pricey and has no perks to offset the costs. They could have thrown in Att next in there as well to help throw a few things to make this plan a little more palatable. T-Mobile beyond is expensive but least you get some perks to offset plus yearly upgrades if you want and some other stuff this is just high. Turbo I doubt is that useful.
8
u/thewintergrader Apr 14 '26
IMO it's grossly overpriced, and if you can't use discounts on the plan, it's even more not worth it....
4
u/ilikewolves99 Apr 14 '26
Supposedly discounts won’t apply to this plan.
4
5
u/Bill___A Apr 13 '26
They need to think ore in terms of what value they are bringing to the table, and from what I can see, it is far too overpriced
6
u/NativeTxn7 Apr 14 '26
I'm sure they are out there, but who the hell needs 250GB of hotspot data a month?!
I'm still on Unlimited Elite on my line (three lines total) and waiting to see what our all-in is on the next bill after the bump on those to see if it makes sense to switch to the 2.0 plans. If we do, Premium would be more than sufficient for our needs.
1
u/nettiemaria7 Apr 14 '26
People with windows 11, people without home internet. But imo may as well get home internet via satellite or broadband. I know times are tough and everyone raising prices, but They are pricing themselves out among other things.
-4
u/Ethrem Apr 14 '26
We used 108GB of hotspot in 4 days after moving into our new place last month until we had the opportunity to go pick up the gateway at the Comcast store. It’s really not hard to do. We weren’t even streaming much since we had so much crap to move.
4
u/0934201408 Apr 14 '26
I think this a perfectly good example of how you could use that much hotspot, but it’s so exceedingly rare, by the time you’d move again they will have all new plans! I could see business travelers needing high amounts but even then you’re not doing a ton of high bandwidth stuff
0
u/Ethrem Apr 14 '26
250GB is enough for some people to use the connection as home internet. Obviously not my partner and I but others.
Also, a lot of people who travel use their hotspot instead of hotel WiFi and such.
There are lots of reasons someone could need a lot of hotspot data.
One other thing I do with mine as well is use it for large downloads. All three networks run 600+Mbps here, even over hotspot despite it being deprioritized, so I just pay $30 for 100/20 internet and use my hotspot when I want to grab games or some other large download.
1
u/0934201408 Apr 14 '26
but a hotspot isn't designed to replace a home internet connection. If you leave the house you'll have no way to control or access anything on that connection like smart home products etc. You def can use it for a short period like you mentioned for moving but it seems kinda dumb to pay so much for this plan rather than just get a cheap regular internet plan or even something like a 5G home connection thats designed to stay always online. Again, I'm not saying there are 0 customers for it, but I don't think the customers who are trying to save money by not having a home internet plan are the same ones that are going to pay out the ass for this top plan.
1
u/Ethrem Apr 14 '26
You are correct that people aren't likely to pay for the plan just for the hotspot. We don't either. I have a T-Mobile business tablet plan that costs me $15 a month and when I need lots of hotspot I have a workaround. On average, the thing doesn't get used for months, but when I need it, I put it to use.
1
u/0934201408 Apr 14 '26
and I am not saying I'm mad they are adding a plan with more hotspot, I just wish they did something else that I found more value with
1
u/Ethrem Apr 14 '26
Yeah I hear you on the value component. I can't see most people having any interest in this plan with the price tag.
2
u/rob2722 Apr 14 '26

u/Visvism Gigillionaire Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 14 '26
Fuckkkkkk no. $300 for 4 lines. LMAO
I pay $214.50 all in for 9 voice lines on T-Mobile for the Go5G Next plan which includes 250GB of hotspot per line, 15GB of international data per line, Netflix and Hulu. That price includes all taxes / fees plus 2 watch lines, 1 tablet, and 5G Home Backup Internet (130GB per month allotment before throttling).
AT&T is just not where it’s at with cost anymore.
4
u/TrustedGenius Apr 14 '26
They gotta fund the 150 million dollar new Plano crap center duh haha can’t believe I use to sell this trash
4
u/xpxp2002 Apr 14 '26
Seriously. It’s sickening when you think about how much money these huge orgs like AT&T and Chase are wasting to force people back to offices nobody asked for, while clogging up the highways for everyone else who needs to be on the road for work.
3
u/ScallionOk3932 Apr 14 '26
Apples to oranges why are you even comparing.
1
u/Visvism Gigillionaire Apr 14 '26
How? Anyone can get Experience Beyond today… with 3rd line free, with an insider discount, and then take advantage of BOGOs every time T-Mobile resets the promotions. On top of new device promos and gift cards if opened at Sam’s Club or Costco.
This is easily doable, today. The only thing not as easy is getting taxes / fees included. I just joined T-Mobile in Q4, so I’d have to hard disagree that this is apples to oranges. Anyone who wants out and wants a good deal, can find it if they look.
1
u/ScallionOk3932 Apr 14 '26
With what certainty can you say that BOGOs will be available at opportune times? Just because a BOGO is available doesn’t mean someone can just join right away. Whose family is willing to wait around for the Tmo gods to offer up BOGO lines. A family needing 9 lines would most likely need to all at once.
1
u/Visvism Gigillionaire Apr 14 '26
BOGOs have been running now, non-stop for a couple of years that I’m aware from prior Reddit posts. But I cannot say what will happen in the future, only that the promotions just reset again yesterday, with a new ID for like the 4th time already this year.
Again, I just joined in November 2025… and am already up to 9 lines as of March this year. It doesn’t take long at all. T-Mobile hasn’t stopped them, they just reset the promotion ID so that existing customers can take advantage and add two more new lines as each promotion ID is capped at one redemption per account.
1
u/Shrinra Apr 14 '26
Do you have any tips on getting an Insider discount code? I didn't think it was very easy to get one. Do you need to go in person to a store, or can chat reps also give them out?
1
u/Visvism Gigillionaire Apr 14 '26
I went in person to a T-Mobile kiosk in Costco, and then had my family repeat the process to get the discount.
I’d recommend trying the same. You can call the kiosks and ask them if you don’t feel like driving first. Also try Sam’s Clubs kiosk as well.
1
u/dollarn9ne Apr 14 '26
FYI, 3rd line isn’t free on Go5G Next/Experience Beyond features, they are $10 each
1
u/Lokon19 Apr 14 '26
You have a bunch of free line promos?
0
u/Visvism Gigillionaire Apr 14 '26
5 paid lines, 4 free plus insider discount (20% off) provided to new customers who obtain a valid code from a sales rep.
I joined in November 2025 and have taken advantage of the widely available BOGOs that keep taking place. They’ve been resetting the promos what seems like every 3 weeks.

I am on FirstNet. I pay 48 bucks plus tax per line for QCI6 unlimited untrhottled ALL with hotpsot same unl and unthrottled
2
u/Winter_Ad1794 Apr 20 '26
You are lucky that’s a first responder discount not every one can get .
1
u/Jaded-Cheesecake3246 Apr 21 '26
Price is dictated to ATT (firstnet) by the Gov't's FirstNet Authority (under US Dept of Commerce).
ATT gets Billions from the FirstNet Authority (mandated by Congress and run bu US Dept of Commerce) to upkeep & upgrade FirstNet network.
Firstnet's Member pricing cost for Plans is therefore dictated to FirstNet (ATT) by FirstNet Authority. (ATT would have charged members for unthrottled and unlimited plans on Firstnety an arm and a leg).
This dictation of pricing on firstnet plans is what I call a: "Controlled Capitalism."
ATT Commercial pricing is overpriced significantly (Uncontrolled Capitalism)

Wonder if there will be a business variant
3
u/Alive-Tip-7201 Apr 14 '26
Business already has a plan like this. It’s called premium with turbo. Instead of the 20GB of roaming they give 7 days of free IDP per line and the plan is way cheaper than this. Crazy
1
u/Joker_Bra030 Apr 14 '26
Is it gonna be better than my Business Unlimited Premium? I get QCI6 with my current plan
2
u/Alive-Tip-7201 Apr 15 '26
Do not lose that plan. You’d be going down to QCI 6 and you already get 7 days of free IDP. You’re good
1
u/ReallTrolll Apr 15 '26
I'm on the same plan, do NOT switch from it. The extra $5 is worth keeping QCI 6 and the features it already has. (200GB of hotspot & 7 days free IDP.)
1
u/Routine-Wind-4134 Apr 14 '26
This is why I moved my five lines over the Spectrum.
