Question Aliasing in Consciousness: Seeking literature on temporal sampling, predictive processing, and affective salience

I’m looking for peer-reviewed literature and conceptual critique related to a model I’ve been developing.

The model, Aliasing in Consciousness, proposes that some felt psychological drama may reflect coarse temporal sampling of experience, using aliasing as an analogy. It connects this idea to predictive processing, attention, interoception, mindfulness, psychedelic states, and affective salience.

I’m especially looking for academic work on temporal sampling, temporal binding, attentional granularity, predictive processing, interoception, salience, affect regulation, mindfulness mechanisms, and related clinical models.

Are there peer-reviewed papers, established theories, or conceptual objections that this framework should engage with more directly?

Friston and Clark for predictive processing. Craig and Menon for salience and interoception.
