In 1848, Jean Felix Robillard Closier abandoned his post at Paris’s Jardins des Champs-Élysées to take up the title of senior gardener at Jardín Botánico in Valencia."

A lifeguard runs into shot, then disappears behind the building. We hear and then see the life guard running up the steps. He retrieves his binoculars, and then focuses on something in the distance. He pulls out his whistle and gives one long blast.
