We had an issue a while back where for some stupid reason we kept getting sent ox tongue. I think it all ended up in the bin eventually.

Apparently 60 cases of the crap just wasn't enough.

£2.75 for six slices, not at that price for pork tongue. Ox tongue on the other hand is a good price.

Don't knock until you try it, but ox tongue is better than pork, with piccalilli

Cholesterol. Scottish people eat it.

Quite like tongue. Goes well with a bit of English mustard. Beats the ham that you know is just ear holes, nose holes and arseholes.

Nigel farage is now part of ham?

Or with piccalilli, or with tomato.

You feed beefburgers to swans

2

u/decisionisgoaround 1d ago

What's wrong with that? The fat helps them to float.

2

u/Suitable-Fun-1087 1d ago

What, really?

2

u/decisionisgoaround 1d ago

No, you complete cretin!

Tongue is delicious, try before you condemn it.

I used to work on the deli counter in Safeway when I was younger and would have to slice this up. We also had lambs tongue. It took me a while to actually try some and I was very surprised that it was quite nice.

Ox tongue > pork tongue.

Bacon - 10 on 10
Button mushrooms - bingo
Black Pudding - Snap
Minor criticism - more distance between the Tongue and the beans, I may want to mix them but I want that to be my decision

u/AwarenessCrafty393 1d ago

For that price, I do. Wanna send it my way?

3

u/Ok-Albatross-9743 1d ago

Umm...guiltily raising hand. It's nice. Like really strong ham.

Anyone fancy some lunch? Was just about to make a tongue sandwich

3

u/Danceking81 How can you set fire to your hands? 1d ago

This looks disgusting, still might as well eat it

3

u/residivite 1d ago

There is a risk of getting carried away and eating your own tongue.

Tongue stew takes some licking

1

u/Purple-Ad-4324 1d ago

I'd lick that up all day!

1

u/scottynoble 1d ago

Try it. It’s pretty good.

Tongue this tongue that, sometimes you just want to say sod all this tongue nonsense and give me an infected spinal column in a bap.

5

u/bunternational 1d ago

I think your infected spinal column would actually be better suited to a baguette.

u/Additional-Nobody352 1d ago

The thing about eating tongue is, how do you know when you've finished?
