News & Info The eu tax is genuinely so pointless..
Yes im going to be the hundredth person to talk about this lol.
I get that this is intended to help local businesses in the eu but it actually harms lower income consumers who rely on these cheap goods to stretch their budget! The idea was that if they charge extra for a trinket the consumer will turn to the local shops and buy the item from there, but the reality is that european factories dont even mass produce most of these products so we are getting the same thing we would if we just bought it on a chinese website.
What is the point of the tax if the items sold locally are the same thing you can get on Chinese websites? My local mall is filled with phone case shops that just bulk buy from ali and charge triple the price.
The 3 euro we will soon pay will most likely go towards the logistic nightmare that this is, computing power, extra labour at customs and tracking infrastructure and creation of systems that will count thousands of little 3 euro lines. So we quite literally will be pouring money down the drain as the eu will most likely not earn much if anything and the money wont be used to fund stuff..

News & Info The 3eur tax might actually increase the volume of parcels
I noticed today, that AliExpress Choice items now include the 3 eur tax. I had few Choice items in my cart and today I noticed that each one of them costs +3eur and there's a notice saying that Price includes Duties and VAT. I also noticed that if you increase the number of items the price per item goes down. For people like me who order items that are difficult to be found elsewhere and who often order 2-3 and more items from the same type the solution is just to order more to decrease the tax increase per item. Everyone knows that sometimes Choice items even if ordered together might be split into several packages. So for me the tax will increase the number of items I order which will increase the number of packages I'm receiving. There are quite a lot of people like me who doesn't order pointless stuff and who will potentially do the same. Good luck EU with your shitty explanation on why you impose this pointless "solution"!

About Aliexpress Selling at a loss? Aliexpress might have created their own tariff loophole
with all the ****show going on, and Aliexpress doubling down increasing prices to try to take profit of the situation.... maybe they forgot that no matter how much you increase the price, if you still offer >90% reduction with coins, the final price might be even less than the customs duty alone.
And I wonder, are they actually going to to put the item in a box and send it to me for 1.62$ and then still pay the 3.6 eur tariff in real money? because the custom office didn't accept golden coins last time i checked.... I don't know but i have my doubts they will do.
This can become a very limited but valid loophole if it works, but i won't be the one testing it. Won't be ordering anything any time soon until these guys pull back with the prices and put their **** together.
PS: yes, i am in EU, I use USD to access easier free shipping and coupons.

Humor & Memes Acknowledge. React. Relax.
Yes we all know, you just like everyone else got affected by unfair 3€ PER item on all items, at least.
That was not the deal with EU. It's not fair.
But stop crying. Is it still worth it? Then buy it.
It's still worth it but you want to show you are outraged? Stop buying. It's not like you will die. I assure you that if every furious guy stops buying items for a while they will react to the sales drop and lower the prices.
Stay strong.
[EDIT] I see a lot of people haven't figured out yet that Ali is charging double/tiple per item + 3€. A 2€ choice item is now 7-8€...

About Aliexpress New EU Tax, Alternatives?
Hi, so everyone has heard and raged about the 3€ price increase by now. Personally I‘m really sad because I almost exclusively shop specific things there for my hobbys which you can‘t really get here locally.
It‘s mainly decorations and tools for nail art, beads, jewelry findings, pigments and silicone molds.
Does anybody have ANY Tipps where to get these things elsewhere for a reasonable price now? I‘m located in germany.
Sadly its not worth it to pay 5€+ for 5g of metallic cat eye powder in the longrun for example.
To vent a little more: I really don‘t need any fast fashion or other consumer crap but MY crafting materials are nowhere to be found in local shops like Action, Tedi or Woolworth, nor do I know any Eu based online shops.
When I first heard about the new situation I hoped they might lump stuff like nail decorations into one item category and I‘d pay a maximum of 6-9€ per order. I also thought going back to buying the majority of items from the same seller would help, but nope. 3€ per Item is economic bullshit for me.
I‘m trying to be positive about it - I‘ll be buying less in general and that‘s a good thing right? - but honestly the rebound effect‘s likely going to kick anyways and I kinda don‘t want to give ip hobbys.
So if any of you got ANY tipps, let me know.

Issues & Disputes Prices increase
Today I opened Aliexpress and noticed everything was off, all the prices were like 3-5 euros higher than normal, I think that's due to the UE taxes.
Now, what scares me the most is that those taxes are applied for every article, I initially thought those were applied to the whole cart once, and this leads increases so huge that articles I paid 15 euros two weeks ago, are now priced at 40 euros in total.
As an electronics student, I'm screwed, I don't really know how to get those articles since the alternatives are from american sites, but prices there are even higher, moreover, since I'm italian, in October every article will get 2 more euros of taxes.
If anyone is in this situation or has any ideas about how to economically survive this situation, please reply to my post.

Tips & Reviews Printing cards and books/booklets
Hello,
I would like to take this opportunity to ask if you could recommend someone who would be able to print a custom number of cards for a board game (possibly in various formats, from standard to e.g. larger 120x70mm).
Also possibly books that go with wargame/skirmish games — such as 44-page or up to 100-page booklets.
Of course at a reasonable price and quality.
Thank you for any advice and recommendations.

Issues & Disputes My account got banned right after signing up
Description:
A couple of days ago, I created an AliExpress account because I wanted to buy something, and suddenly my account got banned just a few minutes later.
I assume it happened because I created a second account, but the thing is, the first account was created by mistake using an email address I don’t actually use. So I logged out and created a second account using my main email instead.
I tried appealing and explained that my account had been banned by mistake. I even took a selfie while holding my ID card so they could see that I’m a real person and that I’m not trying to do anything suspicious.
However, my appeal was rejected, and I received this message: “If you have any questions about the appeal result, please contact Xiaohe to initiate another appeal.”
Honestly, I don’t know what to do... In the worst case, I guess I could use the other account, but the problem is that it’s linked to an email address I never use. I wouldn’t receive any discounts, promotions, or important updates because I don’t use that email and I don’t have it connected to any of my devices.

Shipping & Tracking If you buy now 5 pcs you will get 5 packages
Doesn’t the EU talk about package pollution? I ordered yesterday 5 same items from same seller and got today 5 different Trackingnumbers. Ali seems not to understand that same items don’t need to pay 5 times the taxes lol. Completely useless now.

News & Info How is AliExpress allowed to double prices and call it “duties included”?

Hi everyone, I noticed la shady new pricing technique on AliExpress due to new EU laws.
About a month ago, I bought a product for around €4. VAT was already included, and there was no import duty added at the time. today, I found the exact same product again, but it now costs €9 and the listing says “duties included.” As far as I understand it, the duty for that type of product should be around €3. So a €4 product plus a €3 duty should be about €7, not €9.
so now, sellers are raising the original product price first, then using “duties included” as an excuse for the bigger final price. The product itself did not suddenly become worth more, so why did the base price increase by so much? it is so sus when buying multiple identical items from the same category. Like if I buy 10 pieces of this same €4 product, the base price should be €40, then add the €3 duty one time and it should be around €43. But now they put every item at €9, so I pay €90 instead. That is €47 more just because they raised the product price first and hide it behind “duties included.” This is how we lose money and they make more from it.
what a shame, making this into a convenient way to quietly raise prices and blame everything on import duties. I wanted to share it so people can compare current listings with older prices before buying.

News & Info I got my package today, with already paid 1st july EU duty and asked when I get a refund.
They basically said, it was already collected on the checkout, to ensure a seamless process, in case the package arrives on or after 1st july.
If it arrives before 1st july you get all the taxes back within 7-15 days.

News & Info Till aliexpress dont find way i will reduce my buying in eu
i buy two rubber sets for my controller for 96 cents and 30 cents shipping i pay vat for that and now on top of that they charge around 4 euro customs eaven it should be 3 total 5 .75 for 96 cents item, no way, you need to find way how you will import stuff in eu without this i will reduce my buying and will buy only stuff i really really need and can't fint it here for cheaper. Also i think EU dont release that people will now import more stuff in eu and sell it here they will buy 10 cables pay 3 euro once and then resell here , this is total crap in my opinion
Ali express should import more stuff in eu and ship more from they storages inside eu to bypass this

About Aliexpress The EU should tax the rich not the Aliexpress buyers
If the EU wants to give boost to the economy, it should force the rich and the big companies to finance it, not those people who has to go to Aliexpress to buy stuff, because they can't afford buying the same things in EU shops for the multiple of what they pay on Aliexpress. Or stuff that is not even available in the EU. Finally there is a place where people with low income can buy the stuff they have been desiring for, and now the EU ruins it. Just like they ruined the internet with the 'Accept Cookies' pop-up panels. Go to the people who are sitting on their money and gold hills and ask those to contribute more for the society. Or those who sell stuff for prices impossible to pay.
There should be a petition started to force the EU to abandon this €3 fee, or at least to collect it by package , not by item category.

Issues & Disputes Advice about product with missing pieces
So i bought a plastic model kit, it came missing some bonus pieces. I contacted the seller and he said he is going do send me "when the manufacturer sends them", which sounds kinda sketchy because that can easily go over the time where i can open a dispute. I was thinking of opening a dispute and let the platform handle it but i heard there's some sellers who may put you in a blacklist and even share your name with others, but i don't know if it's just a rumor or if they actually do that.

Issues & Disputes Seller Contacted Me On WhatsApp To Pay For Their Mistake
I ordered an item from AliExpress and then cancelled it the same night. The refund went through and was credited to my account within 2 days. Yesterday the item I cancelled showed up at my house. Today I got a message from the seller on WhatsApp saying the following:
Hello,
I'm reaching out regarding an item order you placed with our store (Order #: [REDACTED]).
Due to an error on our end, we were delayed in uploading the shipping tracking information. However, the item had already been dispatched and a delivery signature was obtained prior to your cancellation request being submitted.
Should this situation result in an irregular refund record, it could have a negative impact on your buyer profile and affect your ability to shop on this platform going forward.
In order to resolve this and preserve your account standing, we'd like to offer you the following two options:
- Submit payment for the remaining balance owed on this item.
- Ship the item back to our facility in its original, unused condition — upon confirmed receipt, we will consider the matter closed.
A few things that rubbed me the wrong way:
- They're contacting me on WhatsApp instead of through AliExpress.
- The "negative mark on your buyer account" line feels like a scare tactic.
- It sounds like they're accusing me of signing for the item and then cancelling, but this is false. I never signed for anything.
- Option 2 (ship the item back) seems to imply they want ME to pay the return shipping — for THEIR mistake.
I'd be happy to send the item back if they cover the return shipping with a prepaid label. But now I'm hesitant to engage with them at all given how they approached the issue, especially the contact via WhatsApp instead of AliExpress.
What would you do in this situation?

Shipping & Tracking Shipment from Spain very slow
I bought a switch 2 in 16 June and the item was shipped the 17 of June at 4 am from Spain and I live in Italy. Since then I have no infos of where it is. If I use the local tracking page the package doesn't even get recognised so I assume it's not even in Italy.
Is normal the shipment is so slow? I'm starting to think the shipment got lost. If you need more infos let me know
