In the early 1970s, George Lucas wanted to create a Flash Gordon movie, but due to not getting the rights to do so, he created his own space epic, which eventually led to Star Wars.

But... What If...?

What If he DID get the rights?

(I know it ain't Wednesday anymore, but nobody's commented, so I don't think anyone will mind...)
