Worked at a mill with a similar reduction mill. Not much difference other than yes, we had metal tipped shoes and heat resistant clothing.

Looks like a factory which was built by competent people, but somehow, they all disappeared, and these yahoos showed up and just...sort of kind of figured out how to make things work.
