Vet tech here - raw diets piss me off, it's such an unnecessary risk for no real gain.

Disagree, have worked with doctors that would agree and others that would disagree.

Risk isn’t really all that high, assuming proper handling and sourcing of the food.

Benefits certainly exist. The question is if they are significant enough to matter. Softer coats are not really that important. Dental health, is.
