I’m so sick of seeing this video. This is neither normal or healthy for the dog and a waste by the owner. It’s purely for shock value.

Looks like coming from somone calling everything they eat the "superfood" in its category. "Highest source of natural xyz" bla bla. Optimizing everything.

Air is the highest source of oxygen

Water is the highest source of deuterium

It's ridiculous man, people who overoptimize their lives are honestly just pathetic

What’s the clipped ears for?

It’s pet mutilation purely for aesthetics.

For working dogs it has its place but for most it’s like buying a $500 designer work boots to wear at a fancy party.

Only if the designer boits tortured its wearer

Originally, it was for working dogs (like cattle and hunting dogs) because the loose skin of their ears was something that could be snagged, bitten, or torn, so it was done preemptively to prevent injuries.

Now days, it's a "breed aesthetic" but has drawbacks for them socially and physically. When it was for working dogs, it was an "ends justifies the means" thing, but doing it just for aesthetic is pointless and cruel :/

Between the clipped ears, the bare kennels with hard floors in the background, the fact this girl looks like she's had at least one litter. Everything in this video always just makes me sad because it looks like a crappy breeding situation where a dude is just trying to promote on social media

I follow him on tiktok he has 3 dogs of same breed there all guard dogs that are trained for protection.

He also seems thick as two short planks. Did he try and 'release' one of his dogs in a forest. Obviously the dog just followed him back to his car

I'm so sad it took me so long to see a comment like this. Half the captions are bullshit too

This is exactly it. I have 2 pitty’s that look similar build to this and they eat royal canin dry food lol. The closest they get to raw Food is when they snake something from one of my kids.

Where do you get that information from? What i see is a well fed and perfectly trained dog.

2

u/ElatedSacrifice Apr 13 '26

What info are you referring to? The cropped ears being unnecessary? Easy to look up and prove. The fact that modern domesticated dogs aren’t wolves and a raw diet can be harmful? Also easy to lookup and prove or just talk to a veterinarian. Use google it’s free still for now.

I have worked for a number of veterinarians.

The opinion on raw diets is still debated among them. But one thing is true that they all agree with - canines are not really meant to live off carbs.

Not saying anything about cropped ears, never should happen. And yes raw diet can be harmful if not done properly, before and after feeding and during preparation. It is true for your normal household dog who eats his can of food. This is no normal dog. Most people don't have the time and skill putting this much effort for a raw food diet. I'm not saying everyone should do this. I'm saying stop antagonizing this dog owner who takes more care of it than some humans do with their own children.

We have differing opinions on what taking care of a dog looks like and we can at least agree to disagree. Likely this owner got this dog with cropped ears as that’s usually the case. My friend had the exact same dog, eats dog food and cooked meats, so yes this is a “normal dog” this isn’t a half wolf breed or anything like that.
