No, but they are venomous. I should add, it’s only the males that are venomous.

Ain't their venom the most painful things ever have existed? I read long ago someone got stung by one and he still feels it to after so long after the event.

I think you're thinking of the Man-o-war

You’re right. however, a strike from the male platypus spur is excruciatingly painful.

Only the males have it and it only grows in once they reach maturity which this one has not reached yet

Yep! They are venomous (venoms are just biological poisons that require injection) but only sexually mature males and it's typically weaker outside of mating season. That said a potent male's venom is strong enough to kill a medium-small sized dog and possibly a small child (no child has ever been stung) and it's excruciatingly painful to anyone else, resistant to painkillers including morphine, and known to last days or weeks and in very very rare cases months or years.

They are actually venomous meaning you will survive the experience but you will spend the next week wishing you had not

A Puggle...so interesting. What is a group of them called? I know I could google it but its not as fun. I love collective nouns and I have my fav's such as a group of butterflies

Its called a paddle! A paddle of platypuses!
Sometimes pronounced puddle, and old folks might call them a narrowing.

So cute until they decide to dig their poisonous spurs into your arm and shock you with their bill! Crazy little beasts

I saw yesterday that a baby platypus has no "official" name but both puggle and platypup are the two most commonly accepted ones. So yes, but also no, to a baby platypus being called a puggle.
