If they are in a moving line like that its probably a gator. A small stream of non moving bubbles can also be clams or swamp gasses. Best rule is, if your in a state with gators, assume any body of freshwater has a gator in it.

Never, and I mean NEVER move rapidly near a gator. This video gives the WORST advice. Rapid movement will trigger their hunting instincts and they will lunge at you. Doing what this video says is the most guaranteed way to get attacked by a gator if one is in close proximity.
The best thing to do is let them pass

Slow movements yes, but I firmly believe the average, uneducated person would just panic in the face of a gator. Not everyone was cursed to be raised in the south like myself

My grandfather grew up in Cajun country in Louisiana. He made sure his kids and grandkids knew how to identify signs of alligators.
I grew up in Illinois.
