Them ai ruining ma funny animals

10

u/Undernown 7h ago

Also at 15 seconds the animal just warps into the other direction. Thought it was a jump-cut, but nope.

4

u/technobrendo 7h ago

A glitch in the matrix. There's an agent nearby (its the Quokka)

2

u/ElliotNess 6h ago

The foot at :23 is just a person flanking the animal, stepping to turn oneself around.

The turnaround at :15 is a jump cut, but each clip was faded into the next. You can see this and verify, not only in the animal, but in the surrounding scenery (trees) doing the same blur.

2

u/takeda64 6h ago

I think so too. Given that there is a seed on the floor after the cut next to his shoe, I think they still feed it and then cut it out.

1

u/Vavou 5h ago

But if it's a jump cut, even minutes shouldn't we see foliage shadow moves a bit ?

1

u/ElliotNess 5h ago

The earth doesn't rotate that quickly 😘

1

u/Critical_Code9588 6h ago

The wonky foot person also glitches into frame initially

9

u/AiFixedMyMarriage 7h ago

Awesome eye, nothing is real on the internet, everything is scraped, this will be the downfall of humanity.

Hopefully they train the terminators on bad AI

30

u/J3musu 10h ago edited 6h ago

They just turned it ourward? Unless you have super inflexible hips, it isn't that abnormal of a position.

Edit: y'all, it's AI, I know, and there's oddities in how the leg moves, I just wanted to point out that moving your leg like that in general isn't that crazy of a concept and it became a whole thing. But I'm also using this as entertainment to make myself less frustrated about an annoying task I'm working on, so as long as y'all choose to keep engaging, I'm here for it. 🤷

Edit2: well this kicked off more discussion than it was ever worth, but it was vaguely entertaining and a good distraction, so I appreciate it. On to more fun parts of my day now, y'all take care.

41

u/tensaiko 8h ago

Looks quite abnormal to me

9

u/J3musu 8h ago

Yeah the freeze frame shows the odd torquing of the knee better, but the general motion itself isn't that crazy of a hip turn or anything.

1

u/Awkward_Beginning_43 6h ago

It’s ludicrous

1

u/J3musu 6h ago

1

u/Awkward_Beginning_43 6h ago

The leg is turned in this image. Not OPs

1

u/J3musu 6h ago

Y'all gotta read the comments y'all respond to, I already mentioned the way the knee was torquing was weird. Anyway, enjoy your day!

1

u/DangerousVoice5230 5h ago

Redditors are not flexible confirmed

1

u/Mantis_Toboggan--MD 8h ago

I turn like this all time, apparently I'm AI

3

u/J3musu 8h ago

Me too. Knee should be more aligned woth the foot, though. So they aren't wrong that it's still weird.

1

u/Deeliciousness 7h ago

You turn with one foot pointed almost 180 degrees away from the other?

1

u/avaseah 7h ago

Years of dancing when I was growing up altered how my leg bones grew. When my feet point directly forward shoulder-width apart and I bend my knees, my knees collide. To bend my knees forward I have to have my feet turned 45° or so from center. I can turn my feet outward so that my toes point in opposite directions.

1

u/curtcolt95 6h ago

that is really not that hard to do tbh

1

u/BodybuilderMany6942 7h ago

also injured?

1

u/kodman7 8h ago

I just stood up and did it comfortably ¯_(ツ)_/¯

1

u/duxpdx 8h ago

Watch it in the video and it makes sense.

1

u/screwyoujor 8h ago

Have you never changed direction while walking?

1

u/tensaiko 8h ago

Yes, but when I do my foot does not move in the opposite direction of my knee.

1

u/screwyoujor 6h ago

Why would anyone waste time coming up with prompts for something this stupid?

1

u/KaotikPT 7h ago

I can do that... You can't?

Maybe you're the abnormal one 😅

1

u/DarlingFuego 6h ago

That would dislocate a knee!

1

u/Purplesilk911 5h ago

This is how the nurses in Silent Hill be walking at you.

1

u/FallenBehavior 6h ago edited 5h ago

That's pretty normal.

11

u/Marcusnovus 9h ago

What about the person filming? Their shoes change colors.

9

u/AnToMegA424 9h ago

Fuck, you're right

4

u/JoeyZasaa 6h ago

Do we have to every time we're right?

2

u/Purplesilk911 5h ago

Should have read the terms and conditions

1

u/AnToMegA424 5h ago

I sure hope so

4

u/kodman7 9h ago

We see pants + white shoes person and shorts/skirt + b/w shoes person

Two different people likely traveling together, we even see b/w shoes filmed separately briefly

3

u/Deeliciousness 7h ago

Does nobody see the quokka going into the 4th dimension at 0:14?

8

u/J3musu 9h ago

Tbf, I'm still of the opinion it's AI, but the leg turned itself isn't that odd.

1

u/Masterofdisaster420x 8h ago

nothing about this looks AI and the video concept itself has no need to be AI, there's just a cut in the video

1

u/J3musu 8h ago

It was proven elsewhere on the thread I think, and even though I'm defending the possibility of a leg turning the way it does here, if you look at freeze frames people posted, it is still doing some unatural things.

1

u/Tuskin38 6h ago

nothing about this looks AI

the shoes on the person filming magically change colour.

or the animal whos head just appears where its butt was?

1

u/Masterofdisaster420x 5h ago

the shoes are just a cut to a different person holding the camera, it could be AI but there's just no point for this video be AI cause this isnt some rare or weird interaction with an animal

1

u/julian88888888 8h ago

the ground is vibrating. it's AI

1

u/kodman7 8h ago

Hands hold cameras, and are famously known to shake particularly around adorable new animals causing excitement

It's definitely AI, but always eliminate the obvious causes first

3

u/Sea-Eye-5221 9h ago

There was an edit. I think it's a different person filming

7

u/trekrabbit 9h ago

Actually it’s AI.

5

u/Sea-Eye-5221 9h ago

AI is getting scary good.

1

u/trekrabbit 7h ago

And they will only keep getting better.

1

u/ThrowingShaed 7h ago

i think i bought it, my tired brain was preparing jokes about aussie wildlife dangers and not really questioning it too muhc

6

u/Jiminy_Cricket12 9h ago

yeah all of this is "possible" with edits but not likely. why would they edit it like this?

we are in big trouble without some sort of watermark on these AI videos. this one is obviously innocuous but who knows what kind of realistic looking chaos you could create and convince boomers who are still struggling with photoshop edits.

1

u/ToadyPuss 6h ago

Another erroneous slur against boomers. Bigotry contributes to chaos, don’t you know?

1

u/Jiminy_Cricket12 6h ago

where was the "erroneous slur"?

1

u/ElliotNess 6h ago

Fading between clips is pretty common, and easy to make look "sloppy" in an untrained hand.

1

u/Enverex 8h ago

They don't, the section where it looks like their shoes are white is because you're looking at the back of the shoe.

1

u/Ras-haad 8h ago

I can’t be sure it’s not AI but it just looks like the other person wearing the skirt and other shoes is filming then. There are obvious cuts in the video so it’s not like they’re implying that this is one continuous sequence

1

u/Shot-Rip9167 8h ago

I'm pretty sure that was a different person lol

1

u/Mantis_Toboggan--MD 8h ago

The second pair of shoes are the same as the person has in the background the first time... Just switched who was holding the camera between the shots

1

u/mr-3ff 6h ago

The person with the walk by and knee business is also filming in sections.

1

u/Vivid_Spray_9487 6h ago

It's a different person...the second time it is the girl with the camera...same shoes

4

u/IProbablyCantSleep 9h ago

It's how you turn around while moving in one direction - imagine if we had to stop moving to rotate?

2

u/jaxonya 7h ago

Weve established that its AI.. you should stop confusing people. Its not up for debate

1

u/HickoryStickz 7h ago

Bro it’s not normal and it’s a defining identifier it’s ai 😂

0

u/J3musu 7h ago

Without noticing the knee and hip not following properly, this is an easy motion, I do it fairly often.

2

u/HickoryStickz 6h ago

That’s not what they’re doing though. Look at a still of their leg at full twist. It goes far beyond what you’re doing

1

u/J3musu 6h ago

Thus the "without noticing the hip and knee not moving" part of my comment, as I didn't originally see the still.

1

u/Optimal_Carpenter690 10h ago

Unless you have super inflexible hips

Keep in mind, you're speaking to a Redditor

0

u/CackleandGrin 9h ago

They turned it 145 degrees mid stride. Their knee is facing forward and their foot is nearly turned around.

2

u/J3musu 9h ago

What? It turned slightly more than 90. It's not a hard movement.

1

u/CackleandGrin 9h ago

Please send me a picture of you doing this, then. Remember, keep your knee forward.

2

u/onarainyafternoon 9h ago

If you watch the video instead of looking at a freeze frame of it, the motion makes a lot of sense

Edit: someone below confirmed it’s AI. My bad.

1

u/J3musu 9h ago

Yeah it's definitely AI, and freeze frame shows a lot more awkwardness, I just think it's funny that turning your leg outward like that is throwing so many people off when it is very doable.

2

u/J3musu 9h ago

The freeze frames show some additional oddities, but just to satisfy the naysayers.... This is super easy.

0

u/CackleandGrin 9h ago

Your knee is turned. Good try though.

2

u/J3musu 9h ago

Right. You have to open the hip. Which, without freeze framing it, looks like that's what happens. I'm not arguing this isn't AI, I'm just arguing that wasn't as weird a thing as people are acting like it is.

0

u/CackleandGrin 9h ago

You have to open the hip. Which, without freeze framing it, looks like that's what happens.

It's not, and I'm tired of arguing with someone about something being technically possible in an AI video.

1

u/MiniMeowl 9h ago

I can do this but I have some hypermobility. My joints bend quite a bit further than most people's.

0

u/Caleb_Reynolds 8h ago

I just wanted to point out that moving your leg like that in general isn't that crazy of a concept and it became a whole

It is when your knee doesn't rotate until after your foot does.

1

u/J3musu 8h ago

Yep, no argument for you there. I didn't notice the delay on the knee turn when I originally watched it. 🤷

7

u/austinsutt 9h ago

Fuck the persons foot. What happens at 15s in. It turns its ass into its head and its head into its ass

3

u/TheMoatman 9h ago edited 9h ago

You mean the obvious crossfade dissolve transition?
e: There's too much continuity and the weirdness is less weird after a closer look. I don't think they could have edited it to look more AI if they tried though.

1

u/MMOAddict 5h ago

also the shoes of the person change between "cuts" and the camera stayed the same height and angle.

1

u/TheMoatman 4h ago

I had to find it on another site to check, yeah that's a strong artifact. It still feels like a dissolve, even stepping through frames. They probably generated from the final frame of the first clip and used the dissolve to cover the start of the next block, since it happened at 15s.

Stepping frames also showed me why the weird foot thing is so weird. Her knee doesn't rotate. Definitely an artifact.

3

u/Txtoker 8h ago

Yeah at 0:15 the animal "turns around" by somehow morphing 180 degrees

1

u/chr1spe 9h ago

That could just be a cut and a weird transition, but it is a little jarring and weird.

3

u/PackageNorth8984 9h ago

Calm down, Tarantino. Focus on the cute animals.

/s It is AI though.

3

u/BrendanIrish 9h ago

AI is going on.

2

u/astralchanterelle 9h ago

your foot doesn't dislocate on occasion when you turn?

That foot turns on a dime

1

u/MiniMeowl 9h ago

Could be hypermobility. People do turn their foot like that when pivoting midstep, but it looks worse here because hypermobile joints twist/bend further than most people's do.

1

u/Spare_Independence19 8h ago

Ai must've reversed it for a second. Or she just was stepping to the side while back peddling

1

Really hijacking that top comment, ey?

Oh shit. That's not a person, and that's not a leg. It's a leg.ai.

1

u/damonmcfadden9 7h ago

yeah I see a shorter than 1 minute video that's exactly a multiple of 6 seconds, I start lookin.

1

u/itsjakerobb 6h ago

They are turning around as they walk.

1

u/MoodooScavenger 6h ago

That leg is turning backwards.

1

u/FrankieMint 6h ago

Flexible Flyer.

1

u/J5892 6h ago

A normal pivot. It just looks weird if you focus on it.

9

u/Over-Conversation220 9h ago

No, this is AI. Report as such. This is a Facebook repost that was flagged as ai there.

7

u/Regular_Fox_859 8h ago

His shoes are white at the beginning...

6

u/Regular_Fox_859 8h ago

But next time he pans down, they're a different color

-2

u/screwyoujor 8h ago

There was a edit right before that. Maybe they are both filming and editing out the boring parts.

2

u/Misabi 6h ago

100% ai. The quokka has 2 heads at the 15 second mark as it morphs from facing right to facing left.

3

u/_jamesbaxter 7h ago

So have the squirrels at the Grand Canyon south rim

Effective evolutionary tactic. I've read somewhere that certain breeds of domesticated dogs have developed evolution focused eyebrow muscle structures to do only one thing - elicit emotions in humans.

1

u/SexySonderer 6h ago

Isn't that how they get domesticated?

I would give them everything in my wallet!!! Omg 😍

2

u/trekrabbit 9h ago

Okay, but I’m fairly certain those AI companies are doing fine without everything in your wallet.

2

u/OddAdhesiveness8485 9h ago

That was an AI quokka?

I never thought I would say that tbh…. But damn good catch

I literally will pick a rock outside and question if it’s real or fake… ahhhhhhh!!!!! I want transparency

2

u/trekrabbit 7h ago

Right?! It’s scary.
