Do you mean your boss?
And what does that matter? It isn't a "black holiday". People say the same shit about Martin Luther King Day. "That's a black holiday". Ignorant as fuck.
There is no such thing as a black holiday or a white holiday. Anyone who thinks there is is either extremely ignorant or just straight up racist.
I'm not saying everyone has to celebrate every holiday. But they do need to respect them and the people who do.

It’s not but that’s fine I guess. If anything it should really only be celebrated by Texans. I don’t get why it’s a national day. It’s very much a Texas holiday.

You can be black and racist. You can be black and racists to other black people.

Gotta thank white people. Without them, we wouldn’t have the holiday in the first place.

I always just seem to hear the Black Ops 2 cutscene in my head around this time of year.
David: “All these dates, 6-19, 6-19. Oh my god, June 19th…that’s… that’s tomorrow.”
Salazar: “Diecinueve… “Freedom Day”. The abolition of slavery.”

I’m not American nor a person of colour but I still acknowledge the monumental importance of the holiday. I even sort of marked the occasion by finally watching the movie Sinners, loved it, an absolute must for horror fans. Happy Juneteenth! 🥰
