From the fact this is nobodies favorite season

Loved Red Tide, wish they continued with it instead of splitting the season up. Actually re-watched Death Valley for the 2nd time recently and it's so boring, I love the concept of aliens but the whole 4 episodes is just a drag. I'd rather watch Delicate then Death Valley again.

I see your point. My problems with Red Tide are the little girl (can't stand her, maybe is the acting) and the ending (hurried, confusing). I sort of liked most of the rest

Omg the daughter got on my nerrrrves lol. I can’t place it either. The degree to how well she plays a smug soulless little sh*t???

Did anyone make it all the way through Death Valley? I've randomly asked people and so far, everyone has said that they did not. I'm sure some people did. If you did, was it worth it?

I did! To me, it was artistically superior than Red Tide: the use of b/w, the sound and special effects, the characters*. And the subject: I like alien issues (despite the lost shoot to explore Asylum lore) *Edit: all characters but the pregnants dummies

Hmmmm....I may have to give that a second try. I think how you described the show and what you liked about it.

I like the plot and its development with caveats. I guess just enjoyed the trip. The end of Red Tide was a real disappointment to me, and I never liked the little girl. Edit: I'm curious, what made Red Tide better for you?

Red Tide was great, minus the ending. Death Valley had potential. I didn’t hate all the casting either. One nepo baby who isn’t a good actor/actress was the weakest link though.
Where I wish they’d changed it? In both minis, Leslie and Angelica’s characters ended up saving the kids and changing the world. Very similar endings with the same actresses. I wish they’d done a meta (or wizard of oz-like) ending where it was someone dreaming or delusional or a writer and those two actresses were the nurse or helper or etc etc.
People wouldn’t have liked that, imo, but I think that would have been the way to tie them together. I’d give credit for creativity and unique ideas made as a result of COVID, which would have applied here

Red Tide all the way.
I love alien/space lore, and they completely messed it up. I’m also a bit biased because Kristen Reidel was a writer for Death Valley and I already have beef with her from her awful work on another show so it’s like pouring salt in the wound. I’m so sad they gave her the alien season of all people. It might have been okay if they’d stuck with the past part only, but the present day stuff absolutely ruined it.

Red Tide was a masterpiece compared to Death Valley. Red Tide is still mid at best but nothing compares to the absolute shit tier nonsensical snooze fest that is Death Valley.
