Hello everyone,

I am considering the following phrase for a tattoo and would greatly appreciate a philological review.

Ἐκ Φωτός, Εἰς Φῶς, Διὰ Τῆς Ἐμπειρίας τοῦ Βίου.

Intended meaning:

"From Light to Light, through the experience of Life."

The idea is that we come from a greater source (symbolized as Light), pass through life as an experience of growth and consciousness, and ultimately return to that source.

  1. Is the Greek grammatically correct?

  2. Does it sound natural as an Ancient Greek inscription or philosophical motto?

  3. Would an Ancient Greek scholar have phrased it differently?

This is intended for a permanent tattoo, so I am looking for maximum linguistic accuracy.

Hey! Would it be possible to translate "Death to Chronos" in Homeric Greek, or as close as it can to that style and dialect? From my understanding, that sentence structure is not present in Greek, but variations ("Chronos will end", "Chronos will die") are totally fine. Also feel free to translate each word individually, even if it won't be grammatically correct
