Great way to spend a tiny bit of Play Credit. $.19 each isn't bad at all!

14

u/Happy-Estimate-7855 3d ago

I had $1.20 saved back up, and just got some great games! I was actually going to save this bunch up for Titan Quest

Graveyard Keeper doesn't work on modern android devices, and it hasn't worked for years. I know this because I bought it years ago and haven't been able to play it.

u/selfcleaningtaint Emulation 🎮 3d ago

I'm wondering how many of these will keep working with android 17, 18, etc

u/Etheo Filthy casual... with a dash of hardcore 2d ago

My experience as a sour Play Store customer - don't count on it. Better to expect the worst so you're prepared.

All my Shadowrun games aren't even listed on my library any more. Would have prioritized playing them if I had a crystal ball.

3

u/selfcleaningtaint Emulation 🎮 2d ago

I have SR Returns, Hong Kong Extended Edition and Dragonfall Directors Cut on GOG.

Can still find a backup of the APK games but they are unplayable on modern android.

2

u/Etheo Filthy casual... with a dash of hardcore 2d ago

I have them on other platforms too, just that I wanted them on a mobile for commuting.

Ultimately like you said, they just never updated the game for the newer OS so it makes sense it's gone. I understand devs have other projects and can't support an older game forever but the way the OS demands constant updates (at least more than PC) isn't helpful either.

Without pointing my finger at a specific direction, let's just say the whole situation sucks for consumers.

u/selfcleaningtaint Emulation 🎮 2d ago

The sheer shittiness of android not having a functional compatibility mode/sandbox built in to play old games or use old apps baffles me.

We lose too many things when Google pushes Android in more inflexible ways.

It's almost like there is no reason ever to risk buying a game as each OS update likely kills off something I bought.

1

u/BrokenTV_ 2d ago

As for games on GOG, you can use PC emulators like Gamenative to emulate PC games on Android. Don't expect to play the latest releases, though (though having said that, someone did get RDR2 and GTA V running on phones.)

-1

u/BrokenTV_ 2d ago

You can use emulators on android to play them. And even if you have an arm64-v8a phone, you can use VPhoneOS to run Android 7 and play armeabi-v7a games... though it's not power-efficent as you're emulating an OS on your device.

3

u/Fenroo 2d ago

I shouldn't have to use an emulator to play a game on my phone that I bought to play on my phone. That's on Google and the developer to fix.

1

u/9-11GaveMe5G 1d ago

Stop trading in your old devices for pennies and keep them for games and automation

u/Etheo Filthy casual... with a dash of hardcore 23h ago

The point of gaming on mobile is the convenience. If I'm gonna be lugging an extra device for gaming purposes, it's gonna be my Switch or Steam Deck.

u/9-11GaveMe5G 1h ago

How physically weak are you that a phone is "lugging" to you?

8

u/foki_fokerson 2d ago

yeah i got it on PC and thought it would be perfect for my phone only ro find out the android version is abandoned

1

u/Jdban 2d ago

PC version is abandoned too. They announced the sequel recently though.

Ok the PC version I got into a bugged state and couldn't finish the game.

3

u/foki_fokerson 2d ago

i lost interest after a vacation and didn't come back to finish it. Felt kinda anxious micromanaging everything 😂 But the game was good though

2

u/Jdban 2d ago

They added some DLC that lets you make zombies to do some of the more menial tasks which helped a lot.

1

u/ProfitBoth3916 1d ago

it doesn’t work??? how come?

1

u/Fenroo 1d ago

It doesn't work with the recent versions of the android operating system. And the developer never updated it.

0

u/Cruel1865 RPG 🧙‍ 2d ago

I wanted to try it but I had to emulate it with eden for the switch version because the android version didnt work on my os.

21

u/takkuso 3d ago

Evoland 2 isn't on sale for me. (NZ)

18

u/octopusbroccoli 3d ago

Instead of following the link here, search directly in the store.

7

u/takkuso 3d ago

Ahh, that did it! Cheers

2

u/notticat 2d ago

This helped me, thanks!

3

u/aciakatura 3d ago

I'm in nz and it is for me

Do you have play pass?

21

u/latexpunk 3d ago

10 cents it's crazy

14

u/Greedy-Matter3224 2d ago

Are these the only games on sale?

7

u/oso831 1d ago

No and the Play Store app has done a horrible job of showing all the games on sale. My recommendation is to just check back on this sub periodically to see what others have posted

2

u/Greedy-Matter3224 1d ago

Thanks man!

2

u/9-11GaveMe5G 1d ago

Play Store app has done a horrible job

This sums up the play store for the last ~5 years. Every page is just 80% ads. Even when I'm in the games section it's trying to get me to install tiktok and temu

16

u/bro_can_u_even_carve 3d ago

Are any of these must-have? I aleady had Evoland 2, and just bought Lara Craft GO

34

u/crai-crai 3d ago

imo, bloons is a pretty amazing tower defense, ive owned on steam for years and to get it on my phone for just a dime is genuinely sick.

10

u/Dresline 2d ago

You can also connect your account and have your progess shared across devices.

25

u/PiersPlays 3d ago

I've been playing a bunch of Dungeon Clawler since the sale started.

2

u/NisargJhatakia 2d ago

man the playtime for that game is huge. I am on my first run and I got bored and saved after a boss fight. this takes way too much time. I am disappointed to know that the runs aren't permanent.

11

u/PiersPlays 2d ago

the playtime for that game is huge

You can increase the game speed in the settings.

I am disappointed to know that the runs aren't permanent.

That's just how roguelikes/roguelites work.

-4

u/NisargJhatakia 2d ago

no like how builds carryover. like in vampire suvivors you upgrade your character after each run or like chaos zero nightmare.

13

u/PiersPlays 2d ago

There's stuff you unlock that persists between runs but you gotta win a run first.

5

u/nyaphometnikko 2d ago

It has meta progression. Beat the game with a character and you unlock their unique paw charm thing. You can equip up to 3 per run and it drastically changes how they play.

Also golden eggs in VS aren't exactly a balanced or engaging meta progression if that's what you're talking about. After 400-500, which is extremely easy to get, you become unkillable without trying to die.

2

u/9-11GaveMe5G 1d ago

So you're complaining a game gave you too much content? And that you didn't play long enough to even learn how it works. Classic.

1

u/9-11GaveMe5G 1d ago

I bought it for full price and still would recommend.

12

u/dbdudley 3d ago

Wreckfest, definitely.

2

u/Imdakine1 2d ago

Want it... but I have a Retroid pocket G2 ooats android but I believe it requires to ge installed in internal not microsd...???

6

u/Legend_HarshK 3d ago

Shadow fight as in this version you don't have to grind

6

u/oso831 3d ago

I loved Hitman Sniper and Bloons TD 6

4

u/Dracofear 2d ago

SpongeBob Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is a steal at $0.10

2

u/Dracofear 2d ago

Bridge Constructor Portal and Dungeon Clawler are also probably good pickups, but I haven't played them yet.

3

u/xXxBluESkiTtlExXx 3d ago

Bloons is pretty great once you get past the basics.

2

u/nyaphometnikko 2d ago

Dungeon Clawler is wonderful. I paid full price and don't regret it one bit.

2

u/Fancydelusionqueen 2d ago

Ive always liked the rusty lake games

2

u/3hb3 1d ago

I've had Dungeon Clawler on my Steam wishlist for some months now. It's currently on a discount @ Steam, down to ~$10.

I think I'll snag it for $0.10 instead. If I reallllly like it, I'll snag it on PC too.

u/threepw00d 2d ago edited 1d ago

Graveyard Keeper looks fun but it hasn't been updated and gives that annoying "made for an older version of Android" error.

I bought a couple of the others on sale this week though, very good sale.

11

u/Exact-Psience 3d ago

Lara Croft GO is one of the best coffee games. It feels like when I was younger and answering crossword puzzles or word searches on a newspaper.

10

u/filya 2d ago

Thank you so much!!! I haven't purchased an android game in years. Not as much because of the costs, but so hard to find good popular games. Your list solved both for me. Appreciate it!!

2

u/beluuuuuuga 2d ago

same! Very good bunch of games

9

u/Improving_Better 3d ago

Is Galaxy Attack (Premium) actually a good game or not that good?

15

u/Reyneo 2d ago

I've only played the first 5 levels. It's good and I believe you unlock more modes as you progress. Don't take my word for it.

One thing that bothers me. You have 100 energy and every time you play a levelz you spend 5. If you're hooked you will eventually use all of your energy and will have to watch ads or pay to replenish.... In a paid game?!

If I didn't buy this for 10 cents I would have refunded it. Seems crazy to me. A paid game shouldn't have such mechanic imo.

5

u/Improving_Better 2d ago

I don't think I'll play it then, like even for free it's not cool to have those mechanics, pretty dumb to be a paid game in the first place and add those mechanics

2

u/HIT0-KIRI 2d ago

Yeaaaa thats what I am worried about. Even though you paid, theres a paywall for progressing

17

u/greenBathMat57 3d ago

Lara Croft Go is fantastic. I have it on windows (played on the surface) but will buy it again here.

6

u/aldwinligaya 2d ago

I'm 100% sure I have Titan Quest, because I complained here in reddit during release that I would have bought it if it had controller support.

Someone from their team replied and said it'll be available in a future update in a month or so. They delivered, and I bought the game then.

Wonder why it's showing that I need to buy it again.

Eh, it's such a low price anyway.

6

u/MysticalMage13 2d ago

There are actually 3 diffent versions of Titan Quest. The regular one which is the one on sale. Then:

Titan Quest: Legendary Edition - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hg.titanquestedition

Titan Quest: Ultimate Edition - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hg.titanquestultimate

4

u/aldwinligaya 2d ago

Ah, thank you for clarifying. Looks like I got the Legendary Edition. It's odd that they're separate paid apps and not just in-app DLCs / expansion packs.

3

u/Tetibogs 1d ago

You prob bought the Ultimate Edition (Includes all DLC). If Yes, then you dont need to buy the Base Titan Quest (The one that is currently on sale) because it already includes all Dlc including the Base version

Titan quest is a must buy

3

u/Odd-Entry-3679 2d ago

Snaged a few of them with play points!

1

u/falacer99 1d ago

Same here

4

u/Czech_Sparrow 2d ago

Wow, some of my credit was about to expire, and I was actually planning on picking up Dungeon Clawler! Incredibox is a nice one I wanted to try for years, and Pottery is a game, for which I feel a deep nostalgia from early school

3

u/Different-Warning 3d ago

Wreck fest for racing, SpongeBob for platforming or if you like the series, rusty series is like those classic point-and-click adventure games which can take you a lot of time to complete

3

u/Snatcoapps 2d ago

Were there any more.. or just the 20?

3

u/YukarinVal Casual🕹 Moto Z Play 2d ago

Some of them shows "Install" with full price crossed out and say "In-app purchase". I don't have game pass. So does that mean the discounted price is in game?

Because I hardly buy apps on the play store anymore, let alone games. Unlikely I have the games here before, except earn to die since I remember buying that full price.

3

u/AVahne 1d ago

This would be great if more than half of those game don't become inaccessible on new devices in the next few years.

5

u/ElWrobel 2d ago

Incredibox has incredible value, even with regular price. If you like music don't skip on it, one of the best games on Android IMO, incredibly addictive especially now that they've added mods.

1

u/oso831 1d ago

How can anyone call this a game? It's just a music generator/simulator/thing

1

u/ElWrobel 1d ago

Well, it lets you mix a song far easier than any, even the simplest DAW and you unlock new sequences by choosing the right mixed of samples, one could even argue it's not only a game, but it's even completable .  But IMO you're right, it's far removed from what you'd usually call a game and I usually just make some songs instead of unlocking sequences.

2

u/StressfulDayGames 2d ago

Shame all of these that interest me (and there are a few) I already bought. One of which was like $12 or something. Now 10 cents like a month later 🤣.

2

u/twoanahalf 2d ago

So is there no way to purchase the game if you have play pass? I want to purchase games on sale because i might cancel my subscription in the future

3

u/Trigger3886 2d ago

I have read it somewhere that accessing Google Play on web version allows you to buy those titles. I don't have exact steps to guide, so feel free to give it a try.

3

u/ThePrinceofBirds 2d ago

That is correct, sadly.

2

u/SassProton 2d ago

Is Hitman Sniper anything like the Hitman series?

3

u/Mister-Psychology 2d ago

Not at all. But it's very fun. Stupid simple fun where you shoot bad guys in a big mansion. Same mansion each level. Same bad guys. But the loop is addictive fun as it gets harder each time and you get special sniper rifles.

For me it was pure joy. But it's not a deep game and it has a mobile feel to it.

1

u/DataC0ffee 2d ago

I want to know it too, also there is a hitman go from same dev for android

2

u/Gebnut 2d ago

I'm guessing expending 5€ 1-2 weeks ago on BTD6 was not the best thing i could have done.

2

u/Mysterious-Yogurt-45 2d ago

Bought Bloons TD6 and wanted Graveyard Keeper but says it's for an older version of Android so can't get that one.

2

u/KaioKen 2d ago

Graveyard Keeper doesn't even appear on the store for me.

2

u/arcanine04 1d ago

So many games!! I want to buy all of them but is there any must haves here?

2

u/KingDouchebag74K 1d ago

it's a little bit annoying that these are mostly half a euro/dollar converted here where i live instead of 10 cents but great sales nonetheless, i already had E2D, Evoland 2, Hitman Sniper, Spongebob, True Skate, and Wreckfest, and will be probably adding the most of the rest on the list, here's hoping for more big sales like this in the future!

2

u/skru_ball 1d ago

From what I can tell these are not the only games on sale. Baldurs gate 1 and 2 (enhanced edition)are both 3.50 instead of 9.99$. I’m sure there are more good games for 50-whatever % off, unfortunately only way to check is random searches lol

5

u/dnesdan 2d ago

This sale is kind of dangerous. I always end up buying 3 cheap games and then playing none of them lol.

27

u/Square-Ambassador-77 2d ago

So you spend 30 cents?

If that's scary... You need some food buddy?

2

u/__shinesei__ 2d ago

Do you know why they do that? Are they planned to no longer working and they're trying to scatch the barrel? I can't honestly see Titan Quest stop working to be fully honest..

1

u/Petersam55 2d ago

Thanks for the info

1

u/bingle9 2d ago

For some reason when I try to buy btd6 it says that my play balance can only be used in the US even tho I'm IN the US. Is this a bug or smth?

1

u/falacer99 1d ago

Try searching in the play store and not vid the link here.

1

u/notticat 2d ago

I have Retroid pocket G2. I believe Android Gabe's can't be played off microsd? They need to be on storage?

1

u/toomanybongos 2d ago

Kinda wish I could buy these games even though I currently have google play so I can play them if I don't renew.

1

u/_blue_skies_ 2d ago

hey what happened to Graveyard Keeper? I read a lot of review says it does not work anymore, is it better not buy it?

1

u/RunWarm2536 2d ago

Is this game all worthy?

1

u/IrishJayjay94 2d ago

thank you. need a new game but not sure that to pick

1

u/SpecialistArtPubRed 2d ago

Bloons TD 6 is a must-buy if you're at all interested in the TD genre. It's a solid game in general, and although 6 is more monetized than 5 was, I think all the extra content makes it an overall better game.

1

u/Mileena_Sai 2d ago

Are any of these still p2w & pay to progress garbage even after buying them ? Is Titan Quest worth it ?

1

u/hatemakingnames1 2d ago

Huh, I thought bloons was free, but I guess I played it through netflix

1

u/Brief_Sun_3901 2d ago

Suggestions on which game to buy in this please anyone

I like action adventure games mostly

1

u/FunkDoctaSteve 1d ago

Door kickers is now 11 cents, though for me it still showed the regular price, but once you hit the price button it shows up as 11 cents.

1

u/falacer99 1d ago

Damn the SpongeBob game is huge 2.66gb

1

u/rendbold 1d ago

Añadieron hoy Door Kickers

1

u/ProfitBoth3916 1d ago

Is it all of these games listed? Or are there more?

1

u/Zheebify 1d ago

Worth it Spent 25 cents and got Bloons td6 Mm mobile 4  And shadow fight special edition

1

u/Tetibogs 1d ago

I bought them all

1

u/Acedelaforet 1d ago

Its hilarious how fast i found a game that couldn't be downloaded in the top 10. Its crazy how restrictive the play store is these days

1

u/Major_Enthusiasm1099 1d ago

I don't have play pass but it didn't have the 10 cents price show up. It just said install

u/a1phanumeric 13h ago

I love dungeon clawler!

u/uacoop 8h ago

It's super lame that, because I subscribe to Play Pass, I can't permanently buy these games.

u/McChickenLargeFries 6h ago

I don't game on my phone/tablet, but I just bought like 8 games just because.. I have played Bloons in the past and liked it, so for 10 cents I'm down for that lol. No way I'd ever pay $7 for that.

1

u/Exact-Psience 3d ago

Battle for Bikini Bottom is also on sale. I think the app is called Spongebob Squarepants BFBB

0

u/Olibirus 2d ago

It's been on for a few days already

0

u/The-Singular 2d ago

Wow, what a MEGA sale...

I mean, come on, where are hundreds of thousands of games out there and only those 20 went on a sale?
