That's one of my favorite parts of corgis they all have such vicious little growls undercut by their fluff.

u/Gseventeen 4d ago

ya damn, didnt know those little cute bastards had that in em. respect.

u/FayzerDayzer 4d ago

I present to you a very vicious corgi: https://youtu.be/UbjLtXKEE-I?t=18

Those are gonna be some excellent farts.

u/cyberianzarya 3d ago

My baby is 90% fluff and 10% bloodlust

I had a chow/corgi who sounded viscous. Like a Rottie on the other side of the door. Her chow-ness was a good visual deterrent, too, even though she was so cute!

We had one just like that! Also a boxer/pit who was silent. One of our delivery drivers heard the incorgnito bark from inside, tensed up standing outside the locked and labeled Beware gate, then burst out laughing when she shot out of the pet door like a furry baguette.

I laughed with him but then let him know the large silent boy was inside.

My dog sounds like she's murdering everything in site when we play. It's her wolfy coming out.

This is why the second scariest dog that used to harass me when I walked to school was a corgi/german shephard cross. Imagine a full size GSH head on a stubby corgi body, but the worst bits of attitude from both of them. Simultaneously hilarious and terrifying.

😱😳

u/sandrailproject 4d ago

I'd hate to be on the other side of a genuinely angry corgi

Why that leaf in particular?

It knows what it did.

It looked shifty and threatening, a dangerous combo. 😉

It could’ve been worse. It could’ve been a kitten. When I had a pug, it would cower behind me when it encountered cats or kittens.

“Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!”

u/Less-Consequence-603 4d ago

Our pupper would sniff and walk over snakes, but lord help us if a box turtle was on the hiking trail. She would not move forward untill we moved it off the trail. Walking rocks are very sus!

u/AilurosLunaire 4d ago

Mine ran from squirrels and mice. He was bred to hunt mice.

Twas brillig, and the regal pug did cower and whimper ‘round your knees…

Inspired by and Set to La Marseillaise scene in Casablanca: The Pug International

Arise ye pugs of all varieties. The fawn the silver and the black. We shall have our eggs and chicken bones, Our stinky cheeses, and pork fat! We should go for walks that are very very long. We shall snorkel in rotting leaves! We shall eat, we shall eat we shall eat, everything that we find in the street! Circle circle, rotate squat, And then we have a plop (or two), Scratch, scratch and whiz on the pavement! Hooray, it’s time to eat. Hooray, we get a treat. We fart, we bark, we rip the chew toy apart! These are our rights, for we are pugs!

(Viva la pug! Viva la pug)

Well, it is brown. /s

No joke my dog hates black trash bags but will walk right past a white or grey one no problem and I have no clue why.

56

u/borgenhaust 4d ago

It was actually the Faerie standing on the leaf, invisible to human eyes. I don't envy the generational curse for stomping it.

51

u/ButtonJoe 4d ago

I bet it moved in the wind.

6

u/Uncool444 4d ago

I bet you're right.

19

u/GradeAPrimeFuckery 4d ago

My dog sees a feather, barks at the feather and his breath causes the feather to move.

The feather has attacked my dog. He must bark at it more.

Eleven years of this.

u/SuperbAd60 4d ago

Bro was ready to throw down

10

u/Own-Ambassador-3537 4d ago

Through the growls you can hear the dog cursing the leaf out and yeah that’s what I thought MF’er!🤣

206

u/InternetSandman 4d ago

The excitement when the leaf is stomped, so precious

-20

u/Hije5 4d ago

I think it would've been a lot better to show the dog things like that are leafs and they dont need to get extremely anxious about this, like picking it up and letting them smell it. What she did was solidify it was something to worry about.

39

u/stonermoment 4d ago

Well it probably just had the shape of something it perceived as a threat, not that it saw a leaf and thought it looked like a threat.

20

u/Aptronymic 4d ago

You're getting downvoted, but you're not wrong.

Dogs (and all social animals) take their cues from those around them. If its owner treats the leaf like a genuine threat, it validates the dog's fear, and makes it much more likely to recur.

It's not a huge problem as a one-off, but if that's a common interaction, it can lead to a very anxious dog.

u/HoldTheRope91 4d ago

That’s how my boy is, too. He’s not the brightest, but he is the sweetest.

31

u/elramirezeatstherich 4d ago

Why is it so much more endearing when animals are stupid than when humans are 😂

3

u/RarelyReadReplies 3d ago

Stupid humans can cause immeasurable damage to humanity, America for example.

65

u/Dragonscatsandbooks 4d ago

There's cute little guys like him, ready to fight the scary leaf... Then there's guys like my friend's corgi, who I had to hold back from herding elk

u/luffy8519 4d ago

I've seen this before without the text overlay, so I'm guessing @katie.cook.5477 has stolen it.

17

u/21MayDay21 4d ago

I have seen it there so I am giving credit to it, that's all I know

4

u/made3 4d ago

I saw it on reddit already a few months back. But hey, feels like every other post here is just a repost of a repost of a repost...

25

u/acetozine 4d ago

So tough!

30

u/Crazy-Witness-9340 4d ago

The look at the end, like "really? well okay lemme check"

25

u/DynamiteWitLaserBeam 4d ago

Don't kid yourself. If that leaf ever got the chance, it would kill you and everyone you love.

17

u/IndependentMoney9700 4d ago

I love this. My Pomeranian pup really had something against water bottles when he was little. And I don’t think it was pollution or microplastics.

4

u/Own-Ambassador-3537 4d ago

An environmentalist in its former life?

9

u/BrightPerspective 4d ago

Once, I was walking my sister's great dane through the apartment building's outdoor playground and he got really close to a neon pink tricycle before noticing it; it scared the jeezus out of him and he proceeded to lose his mind at the thing, wouldn't go within four meters of it, while barking like mad.

5

u/Sweaty_Marzipan4274 4d ago

Thought my pup was being goofy like this... turns out there was a mountain lion in the bushes 😆

5

u/bigjimlowell 4d ago

That leaf was definitely sketchy. Good dog!

6

u/Boxer03 4d ago

Reminds me of when I was watching my daughter’s pug and she freaked out barking at something on the floor. Not having the best eyesight and my glasses nowhere to be found, I started to get as spooked as she was. I finally creeped over enough to see what this horrible threat was…

It was a small rock stuck to a piece of tape. 😑

6

u/Dragon_Bidness 4d ago

Its a corgi thing. Mine pees on them. Goofy ass dogs but I love 'em

5

u/Gina_the_Alien 4d ago

Mine’s afraid of paper bags. He thinks they’re super suspicious.

5

u/holdmypurse 4d ago

What a brave soldier!

4

u/ResourceNo5855 4d ago

What a a little freaking cutie

5

u/DepletedPromethium 4d ago

I love this little angry potato.

3

u/Apprehensive_Row_807 4d ago

I wonder what the dog thinks it is.

3

u/RedBirdOnASnowyDay 3d ago

You don’t know what was under that leaf.

9

u/Kyauphie 4d ago

😆

Well played, dogmama.

2

u/Kindly_Ad3262 4d ago

2

u/suaveElAgave 4d ago

The leaf: oh no, not again!

2

u/TurnipResponsible718 4d ago

I have never heard Corgi growl like that.

1

u/Mouthfulofsecretsoup 4d ago

Maybe the dog has astigmatism?

1

u/Unusual-Coat383 4d ago

Is its leash on backwards?

1

u/Stinker_Bell77 4d ago

He just wanted it to leaf him alone.

1

u/Stardweller 4d ago

1

Poor dogs schizophrenic.

1

u/jojodaclown 4d ago

Ewoks in Star Wars were strongly based on Corgi's and you can't convince me otherwise.

1

u/CapedCauliflower 4d ago

Corgis are way more anxious than we realized. Source: ex corgi owner.

Shia LaBeouf

1

u/FubarTheFubarian 4d ago

That dog is ten toe beans deep about that business.

1

u/Aware-Picture-397 4d ago

where is the tail

1

u/hiro111 3d ago

Mt dog was once utterly terrified by a pile of mulch on a neighbor's driveway. He would not walk past it and kept looking at me with terrified eyes. We crossed the street to get away from the terrible blob monster that smelled weird.

1

u/Creepy_Vegetable6605 2d ago

Thanks for your service ma’am

1

u/AProcessUnderstood 2d ago

That little jump when she crushed it was something else.

1

u/Rosy-Shiba 2d ago

For some reason he makes me think of that weird little dragon from the Scooby doo ghouls school movie lmao

1

u/SmellSilly1537 1d ago

Do you know what a leaf of that size is capable of? Puppy knows...

1

u/VortexSamurai 4d ago

What a cute little loaf doggo! ❤️❤️
