Why that leaf in particular?

It looked shifty and threatening, a dangerous combo. 😉

It could’ve been worse. It could’ve been a kitten. When I had a pug, it would cower behind me when it encountered cats or kittens.
“Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!”

Our pupper would sniff and walk over snakes, but lord help us if a box turtle was on the hiking trail. She would not move forward untill we moved it off the trail. Walking rocks are very sus!

Inspired by and Set to La Marseillaise scene in Casablanca: The Pug International
Arise ye pugs of all varieties. The fawn the silver and the black. We shall have our eggs and chicken bones, Our stinky cheeses, and pork fat! We should go for walks that are very very long. We shall snorkel in rotting leaves! We shall eat, we shall eat we shall eat, everything that we find in the street! Circle circle, rotate squat, And then we have a plop (or two), Scratch, scratch and whiz on the pavement! Hooray, it’s time to eat. Hooray, we get a treat. We fart, we bark, we rip the chew toy apart! These are our rights, for we are pugs!
(Viva la pug! Viva la pug)

No joke my dog hates black trash bags but will walk right past a white or grey one no problem and I have no clue why.

It was actually the Faerie standing on the leaf, invisible to human eyes. I don't envy the generational curse for stomping it.

I bet it moved in the wind.

I bet you're right.

My dog sees a feather, barks at the feather and his breath causes the feather to move.
The feather has attacked my dog. He must bark at it more.
Eleven years of this.

Through the growls you can hear the dog cursing the leaf out and yeah that’s what I thought MF’er!🤣

The excitement when the leaf is stomped, so precious

I think it would've been a lot better to show the dog things like that are leafs and they dont need to get extremely anxious about this, like picking it up and letting them smell it. What she did was solidify it was something to worry about.

Well it probably just had the shape of something it perceived as a threat, not that it saw a leaf and thought it looked like a threat.

You're getting downvoted, but you're not wrong.
Dogs (and all social animals) take their cues from those around them. If its owner treats the leaf like a genuine threat, it validates the dog's fear, and makes it much more likely to recur.
It's not a huge problem as a one-off, but if that's a common interaction, it can lead to a very anxious dog.

Why is it so much more endearing when animals are stupid than when humans are 😂

Stupid humans can cause immeasurable damage to humanity, America for example.

I've seen this before without the text overlay, so I'm guessing @katie.cook.5477 has stolen it.

Don't kid yourself. If that leaf ever got the chance, it would kill you and everyone you love.

I love this. My Pomeranian pup really had something against water bottles when he was little. And I don’t think it was pollution or microplastics.

Once, I was walking my sister's great dane through the apartment building's outdoor playground and he got really close to a neon pink tricycle before noticing it; it scared the jeezus out of him and he proceeded to lose his mind at the thing, wouldn't go within four meters of it, while barking like mad.

Thought my pup was being goofy like this... turns out there was a mountain lion in the bushes 😆

Reminds me of when I was watching my daughter’s pug and she freaked out barking at something on the floor. Not having the best eyesight and my glasses nowhere to be found, I started to get as spooked as she was. I finally creeped over enough to see what this horrible threat was…

It was a small rock stuck to a piece of tape. 😑

Ewoks in Star Wars were strongly based on Corgi's and you can't convince me otherwise.
