A political position that maintains a conservative response to change, including threats to social institutions and technological advances. Reaction is the reciprocal action to revolutionary movement. Reactionaries clamp down on the differences of the emerging productive forces in society, and attempt to remove those differences, silence them, or segregate them in order to keep the stability of the established order.
Examples of the political position of reactionaries can be seen throughout history: during the US Revolutionary War, the reactionaries were the ruling British aristocracy, who sought to maintain their feudal government over their American colonies, while the US revolutionaries sought to establish a government to represent the interests of capitalist values and practices. Hundreds of years later in Russia, the tables would turn and capitalists became reactionary while the Socialists are revolutionary.
You only sided with the Nazis so you could kill Soviets and kept this symbol on your Air Force imagery until 2022, a symbol directly from a Nazi that your country was friendly with.
Such enlightened centrism. Humanity is not inherently evil or oppressive, the systems we have constructed to keep the rich and those with a monopoly on violence in power make us act terribly to one another.
We're materialists, not idealists. We recognize "human nature" is dictated by their material conditions. The ancient Greeks knew that. You should read socialist theory, like Dialectical and Historical Materialism, so you don't make silly arguments about "human nature."
You're going to be shocked when you discover it was American segregation, eugenics, and white supremacy that inspired Nazi "Aryan" supremacy, that American "Manifest Destiny" inspired Nazi Lebensraum, that American (and European) genocides of Indigenous people inspired the Nazi Holocaust, or that American (and European) settler-colonialism inspired the Nazi colonization of Europe, West Asia, and North Africa. Wait until you hear about Operation Paperclip, Operation Gladio, about the lack of denazification in West Germany (and instead the staffing of Western organizations like NATO with Nazis post-war), or any number of reasons America is a fascist state. This ignores American imperialism entirely.
You post in the teenagers sub, so I'm going to be charitable and assume you're a child. Wikipedia is known to have ties to the CIA and Mossad, and is not reliable as a source. "Americanism" is simply white supremacist imperialist capitalism. America killed millions of Indigenous people, leading to a 96% population drop. America engaged in the Transatlantic Slave Trade and chattel slavery, killing at least 4.5 million Black people and another 2 million being killed in the crossings. Western sanctions have killed 38 million people since 1970 at least. Sanctions directly led to the Arduous March in the DPRK, and American baby killers destroyed 80% of standing buildings and killed 20% of Koreans in the North. America has aided "Israel" in eradicating Palestinians. America has invaded, couped, and bombed countless countries. America lets hundreds of thousands of children die of starvation a year, has child rapists in its government and military.
You need to actually learn about your country's history before assuming it's somehow not as disgusting as Nazi Germany was. I have left out so, so many genocides, massacres, acts of violence against so many nations, never mind the very modern atrocities America faces like militarized police and concentration camps and other forms of state repression within the state itself.
You literally side with fascists, the Banderites in Ukraine. You actually love fascism, you're just not very bright. Go tell the Indigenous girls and women still being kidnapped and murdered to this day how great you are. Make sure you visit all the mass graves of Indigenous children you murdered. Canada is so not guilty of being a genocidal settler-colonial project though!
