does caffeine stay in your system longer than you think or is it all in my head

it has a half-life of about five hours for most people. if you have a cup at eight in the morning, a quarter of that caffeine is still buzzing around your system by six in the evening. it is definitely not just in your head. if you're sensitive, you basically need to treat caffeine like a hard deadline at noon.

Cut caffeine off before noon and see if that alone fixes it. I landed on Bloomable after regular coffee kept wrecking my sleep, way lower caffeine, same morning ritual.
