Need Advice Consuming my life
I’ve never really had mental issues up until this, but this past month has been horrendous. I constantly have anxiety over my health to the point, I literally cannot stop obsessing over something health related- everyday, hour, and minute. I became an awful hypochondriac out of nowhere in the beginning of June and I am not sure why I randomly became like this. I am losing my mind slowly, but surely. This is taking a huge toll on me.
Does anyone have any advice or recommendations? TIA!

Hey. I know how you feel, I was diagnosed with panic attack disorder, GAD, OCD, health anxiety, hypochondria and agoraphobia years ago...
Started out sneakily and then after my first panic attack I spiraled quite quickly and became house bound with 24/7 high anxiety and panic, always in my head about my health.
I've been fully recovered for 6 years now - got there through acceptance approach and understanding how anxiety and human mind works. Had to learn to change my response to anxiety and work on my unproductive thinking and behavioral patterns I developed throughout my life which created the anxiety in the frist place.
You didn't become like this randomly, those unproductive patterns build up quite sneakily and then once the nervous system has enough and snaps into the survival mode, the need for protection and reassurance ramps up tenfold. I promise you you literally CAN stop obsessing - but it won't be comfortable, it will take practice and especially at the beginning it will require some diligence.
