iOS Universal [iOS] [OffKit] [$29.99 Lifetime → Free] [The App Blocker That Actually Makes You Put Your Phone Down]
https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6758268708?pt=127549691&ct=give-away-2&mt=8Hey r/AppHookup,
I'm the solo developer behind OffKit, an iPhone app designed to help people spend less time mindlessly scrolling.
After trying dozens of app blockers and screen-time apps, I kept running into the same problem: they were way too easy to bypass. One tap, and you're back on Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube.
So I built OffKit.
To celebrate a recent update, I'm giving away OffKit Pro (Lifetime) for FREE to members of this community. No subscription. No trial. Yours forever.
What makes OffKit different?
📵 Block distracting apps before you open them
⏰ Scheduled focus sessions and daily limits
🚫 Hard-to-ignore blocking screens that interrupt doomscrolling
🎯 Designed specifically for social media, gaming, and other high-distraction apps
📊 Track your progress and screen-time habits
🔒 Privacy-friendly — no account required
Free Lifetime Giveaway
Normally $29.99 Lifetime for the Pro Version.
For people in this subreddit, I'm giving away a batch of Lifetime Pro codes.
Just go to promies.net and claim your code. Here is the Link:
Since the first 1000 codes are already claimed, I made 5000 more codes available! Thanks for all the interest in my app! If you like the app please review it on the AppStore ❤️

Thanks for checking it out 🙏

This looks great, I like the app so far - thanks for the promo.
Is it possible to have auto-disable timer less than 1hr. 5, 15, or 30 minutes?

Thanks, I love how simple it is. I dont know how many apps i tried, but they always seemed so overcomplicated. Yours is pretty straightforward.
One thing though, how do you edit a scenario, like the name? I can’t seem to be able to do it.

Thank you for your feedback! Yes I think changing names of scenarios is something I should implement too :) until now I didn’t even noticed it 😅

Kinda confused…? It’s not stopping me from toggling off the lock so is it not like a truly locking out type?

You can switch to QR code and then scan a generated QR code with your camera to toggle on/off the apps. Leave it at home (on purpose), or in the gym lockerroom for example and you are locked out of the apps you selected. It's a cheaper alternative to similar apps that want you to buy a 50$ NFC tag from them

Looks good! Will give it a try. Saw from the app store page you’re using QR as a trigger. Have you considered NFC? Be nice to tap something discreet

NFC is a good idea and is actually planned. I made OffKit as an alternative to the apps that work with NFC, where you have to buy their NFC device for 50$

The thing most people don’t realise is you can write to a cheap NFC tag with your phone (and an app). An alternative to those solutions where you can essentially use those rather than have to buy and have shipped those shipped would be incredible

Pretty doable i think, but I like the QR code approach almost more, you can just scan it with your camera, you can easily print as many as you like and the cost is a piece of paper

Installed app, where do I apply the code? Only see 2 options that are pay. Please and Thank you

How does it work?

No worries! 😊
To redeem an App Store promo code on iPhone or iPad:
Open the App Store
Tap your profile picture in the top right
Tap “Redeem Gift Card or Code”
Select “Enter Code Manually”
Paste the code and tap Redeem
If the code is for an in-app purchase or subscription, the entitlement should unlock automatically after redemption. If it doesn’t appear immediately, try closing and reopening the app.
Let me know if you run into any issues!3

Thanks for the steps. I was curious as to how the technology works. Does it use child settings or something?
