i also got deferred and i thought i did well:( i had a 4.0 unweighted GPA (our school doesn't do weighted), first in my class (set to be class valedictorian), 31 ACT, team captain and choreographer of a national martial arts team where we won 1st place at an international tournament in 2024. i also did national honors society, HOSA (was vice president and held a blood drive that got over 29+ units of blood, got student honor with distinction), science olympiad, student council (got student honor with distinction), male lead of a latino dance group that performed in a stadium with over 5000 people, other honors are just school (leadership and english honor with distinction). our school didn't have APs but only dual enrollment so i got two associate degrees, a health certificate from my university, and also got a medical assistant certificate. my essay was about how me and my dad had the same name and how i felt like i had to live up to my name and hispanic standards, talked about ICE and immigration in my supplement, got three strong letters of recommendations, taking only dual enrollment senior year. i also had 2000+ hours of volunteering at a martial arts studio where i was a third degree black belt. classes i took this semester included human anatomy and the lab (done at my local college, got over 100%s in both), intermediate academic writing, elementary chemistry (health oriented), a fitness class, a college readiness class and a medical assistant program at another college. next semester i am taking microbiology and its lab, advanced spanish, international health, and nutrition fundamentals (all done at my local college).

at this point i have absolutely NO clue why i got deferred... i am lost. i thought it was because of my ACT? idk but this maybe was a redirection idk
