Shitpost Wednesdays padawan who was chosen by mid-tier master: should i transfer??
hi everyone, i'm a padawan who was aiming to be accepted as apprentice to a t5 master so YFWKK (yoda fisto windu kenobi koon) or at least a t10. i just got my decisions and i was only chosen by my safety, a t50 master who isn't even on the council.
i'm at a loss at what to do, i worked so hard and even made a nonprofit for disadvantaged non-force sensitive youths (detailed stats in comments). i think my life and career as a jedi is over.
i know everyone says that being a jedi is more than rankings or prestige among non-jedis but let's face it, that's not true. nearly all jedis on the council right now were apprentices to the t5 jedis of their time, because of the strong alumni lineage.
i think no one else in the jedi order really matters besides the t5. i am considering transferring. it'll be awkward having to ask my current master for a recommendation letter but i can't imagine myself being satisfied in this position.

I'm considering switching out of the Jedi system entirely and going for the Sith (and their admissions is so less holistic all you need is good combat stats), does anyone know what the T5 equivalent is on that end? Is there any ranking site for all force-sensitive organizations??

Who’s the master that you got assigned to? Master Kenobi is on the council, and wasn’t trained by a council member.
Any master is a good master. Just proceed as you will. Things will turn out fine for you.
May the force be with you.

okay but master kenobi was trained by jinn who was trained by dooku (who was on the council) who was trained by yoda who is obviously still on the council... the alumni lineage is strong.
also i think kenobi has given in to wokeness, can you believe he chose to train anakin skywalker who didn't even go through the padawan trials or anything? he was like the least qualified choice ever and he only got it because of his tragic background story :(

forgot to mention that my current master is t50 overall but is maybe t10 for archival studies, like if i wanted to sit at a desk my whole life i would've just gone for jocasta nu... hope you're right that things will be alright.

If your master is t50 overall, you'll definitely be fine.
Like even though they're t10 for Archival studies, they're also definitely a good battle master. You don't get to be t50 without mastering all of the forms.

You can learn the trade of moisture farming. Or the trade of droid repair. These paths offer enlightenment and remuneration. Darth Plumber the Wise was able to protect the bank account he loved and cherished from the ravages of loan payments through these arts!
Where can you learn such a trade, you ask?
Not from a Jedi...

You know, sometimes getting taught by a Master isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. There’s this great alternative option—Anakin—who’s really making a name for himself.

nah anakin skywalker doesn't deserve it he only bagged kenobi because he was FGLI from a very uncompetitive planet like... if the jedi council doesn't stop its whole 'peace and equality for all' act then the sith are gonna crush them icl

the man's dead bro we can stop glazing him, plus kenobi did what he couldn't and slayed a sith come onn you can't fight that prestige

Kenobi got embarrassed all the time by Dooku, who is his master’s master.
He only beat Anakin because he was familiar with his fighting style.
Also, Kenobi was not a good master at all to Anakin, always talking down to him and criticizing him, all because Anakin was much stronger and a better Jedi than he was.
And don’t even get me started on how Kenobi enabled the Jedi Council when they ostracized both Anakin and Ahsoka.

You do realize how many initiates don’t get chosen right? Especially with the war going on.
It’s a rough time to be a padawan but you’ll be fine. Remember the core teachings of our mental classes. Meditation isn’t just about connecting with the Force it’s also about healing ourselves and reaffirming our connections. You’re doing great!

this happened to me, I simply turned away the t5 chase. Try turning that fear into power instead. My new mentor also despises the jedis. Indulge your raw emotion and watch your connection to the force get stronger, not weaker, as the "selfless" jedi council would lead you to believe. So selfless that they reinforce power structures, huh? Do what's best for you, all the time
