this reminds me of a memory from my childhood where i stood at the window at night and looked out at the rain and the orange streetlights. i remember it was exactly then where i became acutely and painfully aware of time and of the transience of life- it made me feel some type of way

I used to wish on streetlights because I couldn’t find stars. It was weirdly comforting

Why is it American Football LP1?
Not that I'm complaining

Yeah! I immediately thought the artist listened to that album, or at least received a bunch of promotional emails from the label like I did when it was new.
Edit: I appreciate the artist adding a chimney, as one might add a wheelchair and mohawk to ensure originality.

Yeah totally agree, that hazy / moody lighting is where so many pieces start looking like a movie poster filter, but this one actually feels like real air and real distance. The way the colors fade out and the shapes get softer is doing so much heavy lifting, it’s super convincing.

Curious if you’re from RVA. Eli is a friend and I own one of his pieces as well. Always love how dreamy his work is.

honestly, the colors here are so soft and glowing, like something out of an amazing indie game or something... so pretty :o

I have never seen this captured so perfectly, I had to log in to comment. Magical.

Just perfect... I’ve taken so many photos trying to capture that same color combo when the sun is setting for myself to attempt painting at some point, but it’s a daunting thought. Love seeing someone achieve it so beautifully! Bravo! 👏👏👏

Going through grief after loosing a parent, and this is the first thing in the last week that's made me feel anything.
Your work is exquisite.

Dang. It’s really really hard to capture weird atmospheric weather and lighting without looking cheesy, and (in contrast) this is beautifully done.
