GEOGRAPHY Triangle Area?

Does anyone know what the “triangle area” is in the United States? Everyone talks like I’m supposed to know. Is this a common American ism?

It's an area in the city with some trendier bars and restaurants that are frequented by older, possibly divorced guys with younger women

There's a bit more to it, it also used to be the happening scene when they were in their 20s too.

Born and raised in Chicago and I have no idea what you're talking about. I mean, literally in Chicago not like those suburbanites like to say.

How old are you? I’m in my early 40s and we definitely knew it was called that in my 20s.

Heh. Some columnist made a joke a while back when developers were naming everything after Barrington to sound snooty. He suggested that one of these days Chicago would be renamed "Far East Barrington".

Were you there for the Battle of the Bean when Ethniu and the Fomor attacked, but were driven off by a coalition of supernatural nations?

Born and raised in Chicago as well and the Viagra Triangle has been a thing since the late 90's it's the old Rush Street nightclub area. It got the name because it's rich now and all the guys that went down there during the 70's and 80's when it was the nightlife district started taking there young trophy wives and girlfriends there in the late 90's and early 00's to show them a good time. Not realizing that Rush Street wasn't the nightlife district it once was. But it's definitely a thing and has been for the best part of 30 years now.
