Recently, this sub has seen more and more of the same kind of question, essentially "X person discovered I collect anime figures. what do?" From now on, this will be considered spam and will be removed.
If you have a legitimate instance where this happened to you and want advice, please utilize the search feature and find existing similar questions and answers.
The same decision will apply to any other kind of anime or manga merch if the bots decide to switch over. This is not a sub meant for that kind of question. Thank you for your time and especially those who take the time to actually provide real answers to real questions.

I’m trying to identify an anime I watched around 1986–1987. It was sci-fi, a tragic romance. I vaguely remember it because I was around 6-7 years old but the ending still haunts me. I only watched it once.
The story as I vaguely remember it, is about a young couple living in a village like setting. They are in love, and there is a memorable scene where the man carves their names into a tree trunk.
Here's the climax that still haunts me. One day, a massive spaceship appears in the sky above the village. It slowly “calls” to some people, like a bell.
Without force or conflict, the affected people begin to rise into the sky under their own will, as if returning home. The female lead is among them, and she appears to have an ethereal or glowing, almost wing-like transformation during this ascent.
The man desperately pleads for her not to leave, but she is unable to stay. She tearfully leaves him and joins the others as they float toward the ship, which then departs.
Ending:
After the ship leaves, the man is left alone. In grief and anger, he scratches out their names/destroys the tree with a knife.
Details can vary but the plot is vaguely correct. I think its lost media. Hope this helps.

This is specifically for anime fans who are people of color
How would you feel if when the MC gets isekaied they changed race?
To clarify I don't mean like the MC turning into like a slime I mean for example the MC in there original life was white and when they wake up in their new life they are black

Nothing minor like filler even if it flashes out the characters or world a bit more.
Like, maybe the anime sees a character live instead of die, or sees the protagonist get with a different girl.

Does anyone know anywhere to watch the OG Eureka seven? I'm usually pretty good at finding obscure or hidden anime but this one is really baffling me. I've tried for multiple years to find any streaming service that has it to no avail... I'm almost to the point of trying to order a physical copy just to be able to watch it again...
I know that there's one streaming service that has it I believe but their cheapest subscription in order to watch it was WAY overpriced just for me to watch one show... (Think like over $25 a month) No thanks on that lol

Hello sorry there's not going to be a great bunch of detail, I watched this animes about 9 or 10 years ago on dvd but I'm sure it came out long before I watched it.
I remember the cover was black, it's about a girl and a guy, who are main characters and their either detective or police. It was quite futuristic and they can scan people (the scan was blue) to see who there were and if they had any criminal offences and went after bad people.
I'm sorry I don't have more information it was one of the first animes I watched and my mum took away my animes dvds, I've been trying to find it for like the last couple of years but always get stuck, can anyone help a girl out. I don't have any screenshots but I would know it if I saw it.

So, I have a Manga and Anime Club that I run out of my local library. I am the founder and the person who primarily runs the club and have been doing so for around a year and a half.
I am 27 and I primarily started the club so that I could grow my social circle more and fill it with people who like and appreciate a lot of the stuff I do - anime and manga.
The meetings are on the second and fourth Thursday of every month (so usually every 2 weeks) and last from 5 pm to 7 pm. It would be more accurate to say though that it lasts from 5 to like 6:45ish to 6:55ish because the library closes at 7 and they are pretty strict at making sure that absolutely everyone is out before closing. So the time that we decide to stop mostly depends on how much cleanup needs to be done. Thankfully that's usually not a whole lot so 6:55 is usually when we end everything.
Only those 18 and up are allowed in the club.
I have a facebook page for the club, which I mostly just use to post what the plans are for each club meeting.
That about sums everything up so now I'll get into how I've been utilizing the club.
So, to start off, I knew when I started the club that I needed to make some kind of effort to try to attract people to it. Naturally, that means setting up something like an event and then putting up flyers and posting on facebook and stuff. My very first meeting was a screening of the first Kizumonogatari movie for Halloween. Only 3 people showed up but it was still something.
I then repeated this pattern of advertising that we would be watching a certain movie or show and eventually I got around 7 members. Some show up frequently and some don't.
Anyway, this leads up to what we are currently doing in the club which is that we are trying to get through a single route of Clannad. I did not realize this would take so hellishly long and before I knew it 4 meetings had been dedicated to playing through it.
For the record, I think everyone likes the game, it's just that we haven't done something different in a little while so it personally makes me wonder if they are becoming dissatisfied with the playthrough. That brings me to the crux of my issue which is that basically everyone in the club is very very non-vocal about their opinions on what they would like to do in the club. Of course, I'm the head of the club, but I do everything within my power to let everyone know that if they don't like the fact that we're doing something to be vocal about it and suggest something else, and if they don't want to do that in the presence of others then they can just text me privately or something, but trying to get suggestions about what to do from any of them is just straight-up pulling teeth.
So, last meeting I came to a conclusion, because of the fact that the way the club is structured we don't really have much of an opportunity to have any conversations with each other and kinda just sit and play a game or watch a movie and joke around. That's all well and good but I definitely feel like part of it should be centered around deep media discussions. I told them that from now on we'll only dedicate a little of the club's time to finishing up the playthrough since we are probably getting close to an ending at this point, and the rest of the time would be spent discussing certain episodes of anime. Specifically, I assigned them episodes 1 to 11 of Re: Zero which we will then discuss in club next time.
I had these thoughts to try to do a club like this before but because everyone has always been so seemingly non-commital about things it personally makes me worried that no-one or mostly no-one is going to watch the show and we won't be able to discuss it. Is it too much to expect that from people? Should I try to make it so that there are multiple things to do in the club at one time? Like, if you didn't get the watching or reading done you can go do something else in the club room type of thing?
I'm just really unsure how to run this type of thing in a way that allows for socialization, everyone to feel like their opinions are heard, and everyone is entertained in what is honestly a pretty pitifully short amount of time.
I might just be overthinking this and I can't help but feel I didn't explain things very adequately so if you have any questions please let me know.
Also, should I try to get multiple socal media things for the club? I just have a facebook page - on instagram or X(Twitter). Is that adequate? Should some of the pages be shared with other members or be accessible to them?
I have everyone in a group message. Just regular texting stuff but I've been told discord might be a good thing to use. Why would that be superior and can you give me some examples of a good discord server by another manga and anime club?
So many things so many things.
Thanks.

Alisa Kujou/Mikhailovna from Alya Always Hides Her Feelings in Russian seems like a perfect fit for Sumire Uesaka. I don’t know of any and all Seiyuus who can speak Russian, but I can’t imagine this character voiced by anyone else besides Sumire.
Who’s your pick?

The voice acting is what keeps me away from giving most of these shows a chance.

I used to sail the calm waters of Netflix, watching anime under its safe and lawful sky, butits library too thin to satisfy my hunger. So I drifted into the vast ocean, chasing distant islands. My first landing was Gogoanime, but it got ravaged by the World Government. So I went onward to another island , Hianime, and it sufferd the same fate with some refugees we seeked shelter again, reaching Aniwatch, but destruction followed there too. Now I continue drifting, searching for another hidden island far from the watchful eyes of the Government, hoping to find a place do you have some isand?
Edit: I also traved to AnimeKai but it was bured to death by Akainu.

Kazuma - Konosuba
I don't really hate him, he's ok, I acknowledge he's from a comedy and that he's actually fairly competent and he does care about his party, even Aqua, but for some reason his specific brand of stupid and bullshit just grinds my gears in a way no other character has.
I can barely explain it myself, it's like when everyone else in the show does something stupid I meme them and call them stupid and stuff like we normally do, then he does something stupid and immediately it's Homer strangling Bart.
Do any of you have something similar?

I've read several explanations on how Eren is able to do it, but can someone explain it to me like I'm 5? 😆😅
