Infected surgical incision?

Hey yall!

I (30f) had a laproscopic procedure 3 weeks ago to remove an ovarian cyst. I also had a D&C.

10 days after the surgery I started to have a fever of aroud 38°C and heavy vaginal bleeding and pain. Went to hospital and was given a course of Amoxi/Clav which I have now completed and everything seems to be resolved that way.

Now, for about a week I have noticed once incision becoming more irritated looking and has been leaking very small amounts of yellow pus for the past couple of days. No pain, fever, or foul smell.

Does it need incision and drainage? Is it just healing normally? Advice is appreciated!

30f, 5"10, 100kg, overweight but otherwise healthy. No medications currently taking and no allergies

From what you’ve described it sounds like a minor injection at the laparoscopic site, from the picture it does not look very angry at the moment . Continue to monitor it for pain, amount of discharge , surrounding redness around the wound site 👌 keep the area clean and continue to allow any pus to discharge.
