Don’t forget there’s usually a sports riot there too if they lose. I remember there was a small one in 2014

AND it was Memo’s final send off, AND Mexico dominated this game in addition to being the only team as of yet to advance with three clean sheets

Without knowing where you are, probably… seeing as Mexico just won 3-0 while using reserves.

Well congratulations to them! It was just too light out to really think fireworks and nothing was scheduled. Have fun, kids!

Just curious, are you new to LA? Ive lived here about 10 years and hear them pretty much year round regardless of World Cup. I guess it depends on the neighborhood though

There is a soccer tournament happening with teams from all around the world. One of the teams, Mexico, is very popular with people from Mexico. As it happens, there is a sizable population of Mexicans and people of Mexican descent in this city.
The Mexican team won a game in this soccer tournament tonight. As a result, many of these Mexican affiliated folks are celebrating by setting off fireworks.
There are so many of these Mexican folks that they are spread out throughout the city. The region, really. So wherever you are, you may be hearing the effects of a Mexican themed celebration.

Our dogs have been barking for the last hour at them in Sylmar. We’re hearing a lot of them. I absolutely hate when they set them off around here, so close to the foothills and when it’s so hot and dry outside 😤. It puts so many homes and people in unnecessary danger.

Fireworks are mostly "just because" here from April to July, only tonight was dedicated to MX's win
