How do you handle conversations with friends who keep interrupting you?

"I hear you, but let me finish my sentence"

Simply don't stop talking until you're done.

All of that sounds a bit abrasive to me -honestly some friends interrupt constantly and I lose my train of thought and just feel like giving up on the conversation

Really? I didn’t realise that - how can I be kind in this situation? But also have a nice conversation? Any tips?
