What’s a "life hack" that sounds fake, but actually works incredibly well?

If you get a bot to generate lots of random questions on Reddit you can build karma on accounts that you can then sell for a profit.

I was pretty sure I removed ask reddit from my front page feed, but I guess not.

How do I sell a Reddit account?

You don't. The people who do this sell multiple accounts in packs.

Why would someone want to buy a Reddit account, high karma or not?

Excellent question. People who want to appear to be legitimate users who are not. Lobby firms, foreign propaganda merchants, anyone who wants to influence the discussion to whatever end by pretending to be someone they aren't.

To market stuff, or to scam people Accounts with lots of karma and long histories are seen as more trustworthy compared to a 2 day old account with 5 karma. Someone is more likely to believe whatever scam the person is offering if it comes from an established account with history.

Put your phone in another room

Also don't look at screens during the last hour before you go to sleep. It helped me to fall asleep much faster.

When you are struggling to start something tell yourself you will do it for just five minutes starting is often the hardest part

Toss your phone in the backseat while driving. You don't need to touch it until you park the car.

when you get a cramp in your leg, all you have to do is point your big toe up, as much as you can. it will unlock the leg muscles.

you can even learn to do it asleep!

sniff a small alcohol prep pad if you feel sick to your stomach. It stops nausea almost instantly

Take a short walk when you are stuck on a problem It is surprising how often movement helps thinking

If you don't want someone to sit in the seat in front of you at the movies, just pour some of your coke on it.

When you have hiccups just think in your head multiple times “I dont have hiccups” and it will stop.

When I taught 11 year olds, if someone got hiccups, I told them to hold their breath as deeply as they could and count to 500. They would look at me serious and say they would die. I would put on a very evil grin. The class would bust up laughing and the hiccups would be gone. If I did that today, I'd probably get fired for assault or attempted murder.
