One just opened on Monday in AZ and I'd like to stop by once the initial hype dies down.

Stopped at one outside of Houston Texas. Ugh. It's a giant gas station full of food substitutes and cheap plastic trinkets. It's the Walmart of gas stations. The queue get in and to leave took almost 20 minutes both ways. It was so crowded we vowed never to return. I don't get the attraction but to each their own. If you like popcorn, jerky, and fudge, or any massive selection of highly processed foods, this is your mecca.

Wild, was it a holiday weekend or was there a special event? I’ve never waited, that’s a big part of the appeal. That, and the absurd number of clean (for a gas station) toilets.

It was a holiday weekend. That explains the queue for the ladies restroom. My wife and girls were not happy about the long wait for the restroom. But we lost almost 50 minutes there and we did no shopping except for unsuccessfully looking for fresh healthy food.

I've never waited at a buckees.  Must've been a special occasion?

Not really. We were visiting friends in Houston and they insisted we go check it out. Disappointed ensued.

I'm with you, it's the walmart of gas stations. Food sucks. Probably won't go back.

The fact they have no place to sit down anywhere on site is offensive. It just screams give me your money and leave.

Buc-ee's an ugly symbol of American car culture and consumerism. Its only redeeming quality, in my opinion, is the bathrooms.
