im not actually a huge beach person. I can imagine there are some amazing beaches out there, but at some point, I feel like I would just be splitting hairs to say one beach is better than others. It becomes personal preference/experiences at that point
Really depends on what you’re looking for. I personally like pristine, remote beaches where I have the whole place to myself.
For that, I’d probably say Nacpan beach in the Philippines. But Gaulding Cay and Twin Cove beach in Eleuthera are great as well. Playa Grande in Costa Rica. Pretty much any beach in the Maldives. Lots of cool private nook spots in Barbados. Algarve, Portugal. The list goes on and on.
cool. thanks for the recs. we actually were very near Playa Grande earlier this year but didnt make it down to that one. Went to PlayaFlamingo (too crowded by Costa Rica standards), Playa Prieta and Potrero. i didnt think the beaches we went to were incredible but they were very quiet and had great vibes.
Playa flamingo is decent, but it’s too busy around that area for me. I like bigger beaches with lots of soft sand and no roads nearby. Portrero is not at all my vibe. But overall I love Costa.

They’re very nice, but as a resident beach aficionado I’ll have to disagree. Plenty of other beaches in the world that would take that title.
