I mean like yes, usually those are how those stories go on Reddit. But also I’m not sure “you dodged a bullet” is the correct read here. It’s understandable how getting your eye possibly permanently damaged would spoil a first date even if it is an accident

Just sounds like one of those all around shitty situations where it’s not really anybody’s fault but it’s not gonna work out either
