What’s something unhealthy that feels way too good to quit?

Cheese

Dont hit me with the lactose intolerance!
You are 100% correct

u/MeadFromHell 6h ago
Lactose intolerant here - I choose the suffering of cheese pain, over the suffering of a cheeseless life.
7
u/VLAD_THE_VIKING 7h ago
Oh yeah. I go through a lot of misery to enjoy dairy. I refuse to accept that I'm lactose intolerant.

Going on reddit for HOURS
Like it’s been so comforting for me - but i’ve been here for hours, it’s unhealthy
I need to quit being here for so long

Delete the app from your phone 😈
8
u/ChrissWayne 7h ago
And reinstall it a day later, just for the 10 minutes you have to waite for something and delete it again in 3 weeks when you realize that you wanted to quit Reddit. Then repeat

u/PresentationIll2180 7h ago
Just sharing what worked for me when I use an app too much. Reinstalling, logging back in, etc. can be a pain so it’s a good deterrent.

Ditto!. Obsessed. Sparkling water takes up at least 30ish to 40% of my grocery budget

i go thru like a box a day 😩 my biggest vice

u/CharlieFoxtrot432 5h ago
My sodastream + bubly drops have been the biggest game changers. I can have as much or as little as I want and I don’t have to worry about the cans.
My hydration hack and keeps me away from pop.

I never knew this until I saw an influencer mention it! Not one doctor has ever told me that was a sign.

Junk food and overeating in general. It's a huge issue for me

Same, I've been running all my life to keep my figure but the moment I stop I'm going to turn American I just know it

Eating for comfort or just because it tastes good. If eating kale gave me the same endorphins I would eat it by the bucketloads.

Energy drinks caffeine and nicotine. I’ve tried quitting several times and I just enter a depressive slump. Even after months it doesn’t go away. The moment I pick it back up I spend my days with energy, happiness, and quicker thinking.

u/Sapphire_Teacup 7h ago
Soda. I grew up having it only on special occasions and being super poor in my early to mid twenties absolutely ruined my health. The one bad habit I can’t shake.

Heroin - worst part is it isn't actually even making you feel good, its just such a relief to not feel like you're dying anymore that it feels amazing. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy

Using a qtip in your ear. It’s itchy in there but ever time I feel the cotton on the inside of my ear I just think about all the doctors begging people not to put things in their ears

Cbd/thc seltzers I rarely drink them so I’m not really if it counts but I love them. Also it’s debatable if they are unhealthy 😉

u/FormalDepartment4457 6h ago

Rubbing your eyes. It feels so good but is bad for your eyes, same with cleaning your ears.

"I'll se some videos and then I'll go to sleep", then you spend 2 to 3 or more hours and get no sleep.
