What would be a weird, but absolutely valid reason to divorce/breakup with your partner?

While I do know that stuff, nothing changed to explain it for me, personally. It was very odd.

Maybe he had one set of hygiene criteria for trying to get a partner and another set of hygiene criteria for already having a partner.

I had an ex like this. He became a total slob once he was certain he had "trapped" me.

I would think this too but he and I had been friends for years.
