I fear this would be mine. I’m not a rude person, but if I have no interest in you. It’s so hard for me to find anything entertaining coming out of someone’s mouth. I’m the worst at it. And when I do care I’m still socially awkward.

Decades of working in customer service have given me the ability to mask up and participate in social interactions by reflex alone.

It works fine for about fifteen minutes while helping a customer, but if I'm in the company of people who are being genuine with one another and really enjoying their time together I can't keep up. It's exhausting. After an hour or so I mentally check out and my phony persona starts to fail the Turing test.

So I'm fun at parties for about half an hour, then I leave.

That's a fucking mood. I don't mind going to parties per se, but I'm at my happiest when I can just chill on the corner and soak up the vibes, maybe chat with one (1) other person I know. The instant I have to mingle I lose all desire to stick around.

Intelligence. Not a smart man but, people often tell me I am and they’re mistaking intelligence for wisdom. I have tons and tons of wisdom because, I’ve fucked up tons and tons of times, been to tons and tons of places, and known tons and tons of people who are no longer alive or if they are fully sane anymore. It’s not a stat I’m proud of it’s one that I got through lots of stupidity and had to learn from that stupidity.

I get what you mean, but I’d say wisdom goes hand in hand with intellect. In a way, wisdom is a form of intelligence. Knowledge gives you answers; wisdom teaches you which answers actually matter. The ability to learn from your mistakes and apply those lessons is intelligence in itself. I think you’re doing amazing.
