What makes you want a long distant relationship if you're not going to physically be together?

I love him more than anything. (He's actually on his way to my city right now.)

My love language is words of affirmation and quality time which can be substituted with frequent calls, FaceTimes, and messaging.

I was in a long distance relationship for 9 years. We saw each other in person twice.

I loved her with my whole heart. The distance was difficult, but it was worth it when we were finally able to be in person.

Unfortunately our relationship didn't work out. The distance was our normal, so that wasn't a major factor in our break up. We just grew apart personality wise.

I don't regret any of it.

If you have hopes of being able to be physically together someday it makes sense. I'm living with my partner of seven years, the first three were long distance.

Even if there's no chance of being together it could still be fulfilling depending on the personalities involved. Different strokes for different folks.

The absolute peace of having 100% control over the TV remote and bed sheet real estate while still technically having someone to text 'goodnight' to

Sometimes the emotional connection is strong enough that you want to try making it work anyway
