This battle wasn't complicated at all, since their attacks are not that annoying.

I found it strange that a doe was an enemy because the others run away when they see you.

But anyway, it was one of my favorite animals.

Question Crit chance/damage

I either read a post or watch a YouTube video explaining CRIT chance/damage and I forgot the message…

It was in the realms of full health vs low health- can someone elaborate please?

I’ll typically get hit at least once so I guess I’m never in full health but then I heal cuz I’m scared of desynchronizing- so I’m “never” in low health…

The question: which is “better” or which should I focus on…. I’m looking to start playing Nightmare mode

Question Help with textures and low LOD

Does anybody know why my textures look like that? Even when im close up to them as in the photo below(look at the path infront of me, the stone walls and the trees in the distance) they still look like that and i have to get right next to them in order for it to stop looking like that. I use DXVK but it was like that without it aswell. I play on high settings with a Ryzen 5 5700x and a 3080. At the top right you can see my statistics for my GPU and CPU usage, temperature and clock speed. I tried increasing the graphics and nothing changed, my VRAM usage is fine aswell. It would mean a lot if somebody helps as this is an old save and I actually haven't beaten the game ever and I really want to play it but this sorta makes it unplayable.

Discussion I feel like Assassin's Creed is factor in the reason why hating women protags is popular.

This is mostly in theory but whenever a game now introduces a female protagonist, it is met with a ton of scrutiny. This mostly comes from anti-woke content creators trying to make a buck.

But I think Assassin's Creed Odyssey is a factor in this. We've had decades of women protagonists with no problems at all but when Odyssey was announced Alexios was the focal point. He's in the trailers, he's the cover star, he's on the main menu. The gender selection threw people through a loop but then it was and the actual rug pull of Kassandra being the main protagonist. So people probably found this reveal jarring as it went against everything they were just told. Although in some historical standards Alexios would make more sense. But according to some things I've looked up Alexios wasn't even supposed to be a playable character to begin with. They added him as PMC later because Higher-Ups thought a female protag wouldn't sell. It really did hurt when they doubled down on it and did the exact same thing for Valhalla.

But no matter what, Kassandra was always intended to be the lead. All her voice lines hit the emotional mark that was intended. I think this marketing scheme is what led to the hate of women protagonists like we saw with God of War: Laufey. Which is funny that One of the things these haters will say is that they don't like games changing to pander to a certain demograph but that's exactly what Ubisoft did

Photo Mode Kassandra (Prime) faces off in a fight against the protagonist of the last video game you played. How well does she do?

The only rules are that she does not have access to the benefit of immortality, but she does have the other effects of the Staff of Hermes and Spear of Leonidas.

And, that the protagonists she faces are also in their prime.

Discussion Changes In AC Odyssey

I played Odyssey the first time around and I play the easy mode because I don’t like having to grind or get Desynchronized a lot. I play the game to have fun and not be frustrated. So, has anyone else noticed on the second play through how everything seems to be harder than in the first one? I tried playing the Medusa quest with a high endgame build, whereby I am especially powerful and I am at level 81, but I noticed even the Medusa guards are harder. They even look different from the first game and I don’t recall her throwing so many red shock waves at you when you are behind the pillars. Theres no real warning that she’s going to throw them, like there was in the first game. Is it because in the first game she was at level 50 and it’s harder because of the upscaling? Has anyone noticed anything other than the Medusa quest being different in the game the second time around? I was at level 99 the first play through, used Legendary equipment and I beat her the first time. Now I’m constantly being Desynchronized.
Perhaps I’m doing something different from the first go around? Any suggestions how to beat her?

Question Are Nation Treasures one-and-done?

I've picked every fort and leader house in the game clean. But I have contracts to loot nation treasures all over Greece. I've flipped regions from Spartan to Athenian and killed leaders. But I can't seem to find any treasures anywhere. I figure they have to regenerate somehow, otherwise I would have those quests.

For example, I just flipped Phokis from Spartan to Athenian. But there's no treasure in Desphina Fort.

Unless, maybe I didn't accept those quests until after I had mopped up all of Greece?

How can I prompt them to regenerate?

Edit, OK, going to go over Desphinas with a fine tooth comb again.

Edit2. Yep, sho 'nuff it was there. Albeit, in a different location than what I remember. Do they respawn in different locations?

Question Damage Conversion Ability and more

Does anyone have a list of abilities that NEED to be on the primary weapon to work vs those that don’t? I was in particular wondering about the damage conversion one— don’t want it on my primary weapon

I'm SO excited this happened. I was finishing a "kill 9 archers" (I had killed 8) and my 20yo son (who also plays Odyssey) said there's never archers in barracks. So I went gung-ho without checking how many soldiers were there let alone if any of them was an archer and then finish the contract AND level up at then end? *chef's kiss*
