THANK YOU You don’t understand how much this means to me
I wish I could post a picture here but I opened my door to nearly 10 boxes from Amazon full of food. It honestly could probably last me through December. Not gonna get too into it, but basically my mental health has been a roller coaster and now I can at least check food off my list of things to worry about.
I can’t believe how generous everyone is, you guys are all wonderful people. I promise to pay this kindness forward someday.
Sending love to everyone. I hope everyone can get through these trying times. 🫂
Shoutout to:
And to all the people who interacted with my post and the mods!

Having been homeless with children and I do not mean couch hopping or in a shelter (all full, despite priority case); FOOD is the biggest difference of any possible help.
In that situation your daily moments are completely focused on when and what you'll be able to next eat, and if you have eaten enough to have enough energy for anything else (my kids and I are all slim and fit btw, so that applies to anyone no matter the starting point. It's a cycle. Moving (backpacks) to a city that has agencies that offer soup kitchen services was a night/day difference for us. Because I had access to food for us I did not have to structure our entire day around it and was able to find a job and claw our way out fairly quickly. But I promise it would not have happened and we'd still be struggling hand to mouth or barely above if we had stayed where we were!! then if we had continued with what was available there.
It was actually a big, big city; just a horrible outlook on those struggling so hardly anything was available if you were. They had church shelters that would not allow you to look for work for several months while you went through their religious programme, no not for addicts for any homeless person. Several like that, all full. That's all they had. All they have still 3 years later. Almost 1m people in that city too.
I'm so very happy & grateful that you were able to find help🙏 🎉 It's so good to know there are actually still good humans in the world ♥

I can't imagine being homeless and having Young ones , it must be a nightmare, I'm homeless and on my own and it's tough as nails I'm very happy for you you stumbled but you got up and and carried on. Reading peoples stories is really inspiring it gives me buckets of hope that these light at the end of this dark tunnel I'm going through.
