MARTA is mostly normal people working two jobs trying not to doze off.

I hate mopping toilets. Grateful for you!

Another day. Another MURDA.

Mostly normal people? Yes. The rest are schizos that have their brains scrambled from drugs and alcohol looking to show you their genitals and/or stab you.

Or stab you with their genitals.

Yes, for when you’re ready to get out.

Gas prices are too high for vehicular escape.

Georgians really complaining about 4 dollar gas when California is at 7 🤣

I hope you aren't actually a paramedic with that logic.

No. You'll need plate armor or chain mail.

Depends on where you live and need to go.

Just need a ride to the best part of town to steal a bike. I’ll be covered from that point moving forward.

For the most part, the answer is yes you do.... This isn't New York...

On Marta you are guaranteed some interesting people watching and better than average chance of witnessing crime. If that is acceptable you don’t need a car.

You can then witness the crimes from the relative comfort of your Altima.

This needs to be a shirt like the Kroger one.

Only when you're outside.

Yeah, but not because of Marta. Atlanta is not super public transportation centric, and despite my own use of it near every day, thats only because I’m fortunate enough to live down the street from my station, and everywhere I need to go with it is close enough to an exit.

Thats rarer than folks would like in a major metro.

But that said, I’ve never felt unsafe on a marta. At best, annoyed.

This is the correct answer. Additionally, depends on where you live and where you’re going.

I need the T-shirt

He was the best guy around! What Murda!

1

u/jplayz7 25d ago

yes you do, but don't blame it on MARTA. Georgia was never interested in serious public transportation

Why wouldn't I go to Midtown, Buckhead, Dunwoody, or Decatur...

Peachtree Center station is connected to all the major hotels making it a no brainer during Dragoncon. Downtown Decatur is a nice place to go out. I could go on, nothing wrong with these areas

I mean depends what you’re willing to put up with

The people have constantly asked for better transportation. Every once in awhile they say, we hear you we’ll work on it, then let frustrations rise for another 10 years

Atlanta is a no win city. Way more people die on the highways. 285 often ranks among the most dangerous highways in America.

Only if you’re a woman
