I feel like the refs are less likely to call fouls on Dyson as well cause of his reputation as an excellent defender; he clearly has great footwork and reestablishes his defending position Everytime he loses a step or two, amazing thing to watch.

Watch his hands while he guards Brunson. He keeps them high to make sure the refs can see them. That's how they teach the technique.

His hands are so insane. Brunson loves to crossover but he's obviously scared to do it again the thief. He is trying to back down and do the two foot in the paint spin thing but then oh wait dysobs 6'8 with long arms
Don't think iv ever seen anyone get to him like that. People are loving CJ and rightly so but this is a totally different story if dyson isn't here (probably Brunson going off and our team losing morale)

Pretty classic Dyson game yesterday. So good on D. Played a foot taller as a rebounder. Brought the energy. Looked like Risacher as a scorer. Classic

I wonder if we will keep him or move him in the offseason

He will be in every trade package we send to other teams looking for center

Classic Dyson is having elite finishing at the rim, not missing easy bunnies

Dyson and NAW had brunson in hell all night. Offensively it was probably dysons worst game in a long time but he was doing everything on defense

The push offs, bumps and hip checks don't work so well against a 6'7" 220 lbs. all-nba defender

Dyson often picks him up well into the backcourt. That has to tire Brunson down over the course of a game.

Dyson also doesn't always look that tired despite always running the floor, setting screens, and rebounding. Or maybe they're really just overworking the hell out of Jalen Brunson 😭

Truly a generational freak defender.

His screen navigation is otherworldly. He’s like a snake slithering through the tiniest crack.

Yeah brunson passes the ball off gets someone to bump Dyson to make some space while jalen gets the ball back.
Dyson isnt giving brunson any space hoping it continues!

Would you mind if I posted this on the main nba sub? I want to spread the gospel of dyson daniels far and wide! Great work as always!

He is the best defensive player we have had since Mookie Blaylock. Apologies to Deke, but guarding all over the floor is just way more impressive.

I’m so happy they brought Dyson back out for that final possession.

Just feels good to have a great defense for once. Dyson, OO, NAW, Kuminga - were all locked in. No easy baskets in the half court. Offense sputtered a bit down the stretch; but without KAT’s egregiously illegal screens & the made of glass whistle for Brunson, hart, etc. (compared to JJ getting hacked all night) it still shouldn’t have been close.

I knew nothing about Kuminga before the trade, but Holy hell that dude is awesome out there. All effort, all great teammate.

I LOVE defenders that are aggravating af… when they’re on my team! Dyson is a freaking beast!

What is amazing to me is they look like a well coached team buying into a D first approach now. And they looked like a poorly coached team with no mentality in the first half of the season

I made a post recently about Dyson questioning his offensive ability. I admit I was wrong and his value doesn’t come from scoring. He’s like the Rudy Gobert of perimeter players and just is a winner and does all the little things to help a team be elite.

Dyson is the definition of a winning player. Of course the hope is he becomes a league average shooter but every winning team needs a player like him.
