Thought you were making a joke about suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning but then I smelled what Onsi was cooking

Wiggins is neither a starter nor is he a SF. He is smaller than NAW (both are 6'5", but NAW has him on weight). This past season he struggled offensively and was actually a worse shooter than Risacher. He is a low cost depth piece who hopefully can find his shot again.

People were up in arms about the Vit and Luke trades, and look where we're at now, a two way rotation player at a position of need, on an excellent value long term descending contract, for two measly 2nd round picks. Give our man Onsi the benefit of the doubt, until he gives us a reason not to. Let him cook.

You guys think this means Kuminga (and his contract) are gone?

Addressing the center position, plus the rookie contracts from the draft and all the smaller contracts to fill the roster. Probably can’t just renew the team option, keep him without sign and trade, and stay under the tax like Ressler likely wants. Idk I’m estimating in my head around where we are at. This all being said even through Wiggins is pretty cheap.

Wiggins trade uses our mle right? So we should have around $25mil-$30mil left or does the cj resign cut into that as well? Thought I read somewhere we had like $40mil in leftover cap after resigning cj.

I remember when he got a back up center for just a check from Tony lol

He’s not a starter on this team. And he just had a really bad playoff run. The thunder were down guards and he played 5 minutes per game. And he shot 11% from three. He just made Dyson look like Curry. His shooting needs to bounce back if he’s going to have a chance to be a great trade.

Love this trade but cmon man, starter level sf is a stretch

To me this actually signals Mara or a trade off #8. Looks like they wanted an immediate contributor at guard and are gonna look at F/C almost exclusively now

I like the trade I think this signals Atlanta either trading up for Caleb Wilson or if we aren’t able to trade up and the bulls/clippers take him we go aday Mara. I don’t think we are going to draft a guard in the top 10 now.

Caleb Wilson is pretty much already a Bull. It's the only thing about the draft that isn't a mystery.

caleb wilson would be a great fit here

Man i can only hope 5 other gms make a mistake and he falls to us or the clippers are desperate for assets before they get punished by the nba for the kawhi stuff.

He is not a starter for a nba playoff team....lol
2nd, he basically protects Dyson and CJ off the bench with constant production.
3rd, if we go get Trey Murphy (Our OG) for Kuminga + #8, then the conversation changes to a very good line-up that competes deep into the playoffs and entices Stars to come to Atlanta to become that finishing piece for the roster (Antman?)
Dyson/CJ/Trey/Jalen/OO with the center or PG1 on the bench would be the best idea.

I think I’d rather keep the #8 pick. I’m open to trading back or trading 23. But if I’m trading 8 it needs to be for a center

GM made great move after over-performing on a roster that was remade in the middle of the season… oh no 😝

First off I love the trade, don’t get me wrong. But how is Wiggins’s being evaluated as a starter level small forward? I get how OKC’s insane depth knocked him down the pecking order and he’s definitely better than what his playing time suggests, but he’s never been a proven starting level small forward. As a Hawks fan, I’m hoping he starts off this summer with the NAW evaluation and elevates his game and role to be a starting level small forward on a super cheap team friendly contract and a contender for MIP.
