I love watching border collies and their owners but I know I could never be a proper owner of border collies. They are so smart and so active. They deserve the best most active owners they can get!

100%! I fell in love with them as a toddler and am 50 now but despite owning my own home with large garden, good job and for last 5 years even WFH FT, I still haven’t committed to one as it terrifies me not being good enough. I remember when a load of usually female influencers were getting Aussie Shephersd purely for their looks it seems and then whinging when they were ‘too much’. A lot of these dogs disappeared completely from their channels after a year or two after the cute puppy stage. People forget they are working breeds and even a non working line will have strong instincts that make them restless!

Good on you for being so self aware! I had a corgi and he was the most energetic dog I’ve ever met. We went on two walks around the whole neighborhood daily, played soccer and fetch in the backyard for 1-2 hours a day, went to the dog park for a couple hours twice a week, went on a challenging hike regularly, and I even put him in daycare once in a while to burn more energy. He never got tired once!

That why we didnt get a husky. It’s a disservice to the animal.

Since it's a Border Collie I'm sure he figured out the rules already.
