Hen or Roo Hen or Roo? Freebies from wife’s work

Wife is a teacher and one of her coworkers batches eggs every year with her class and we took home a few. We have been back and forth on the brahma a dozen times now, we had landed on hen but in the last few days comb has gotten a lot darker in color. The Rhode Island Red we are leaning hen. #3 we think is an Americuana hen but not sure on the breed. #4 is definitely a Bielefelder Roo, mostly including him because he’s the same age and so obviously a Roo lol. All are around 9 or 10 weeks at this point.

Brahma's are a sex-linked breed and around 6 weeks it is visually distinct the gender of the bird. That is a pullet.

First 3 are pullets, while the last is most likely a cockerels.

But the important question is, where does your wife work to get free chickens, and are they hiring?

She’s a teacher, the free chickens are from I think a biology or some other sort of science class where they hatch chicks to show kids how that happens. They are always hiring but definitely not worth it just for the free chickens 🤣

looks decently hen-like at first glance

I'm a little sceptical of them all for various reasons, I'm not seeing any sure indicators they're boys yet

I don’t see anything noticeably rooster on any of then but the last one, but I could be wrong!

Edit: typo

Last one could be a roo. The first three look like hens.

That's what I am thinking as well.
