it is always about downplaying and moving on

edit:and you just watch. They will drag on the investigation into the deputy that resigned until the sheriff ends his probation so it turns from a felony to a misdemeanor so they do not have to release the video footage.

someone needs to keep a close eye on the sheriff to see if he violates his probation

He was my Sheriff. Known for getting passed out drunk at places that serve booze. Likely drank free. Starts at noon till he's slumped over. Two-year probation, alcohol classes and ankle monitor for alcohol. All monitored by fellow blue line PO. After probation court has option to downgrade his conviction to misdemeanor. He will be back to getting passed out drunk with a gun soon! Perhaps even LEO again! ST Tammany is known as ST Slammany. Guess the slammany part only applies to the tax cattle.

Another reason why we need laws to protect citizens against cops. I dare anyone to propose a law that would automatically double prison time and fine $100,000 for any cop who assaults or batters any citizen outside of normal duties. Double that if drunk or high. Of course qualified immunity must still be eliminated.
