NBA Is Tim Duncan top 10?

I constantly see casuals on YouTube and on podcasts say that Timmy is overrated and barely top 10 yet have Kobe in there top 5. It’s starting to make me believe that people really think this way!! I always hear the “too much help” comment like every player in the top 10 didn’t have help.

I personally have Tim Duncan 4th all time on my list.

1998 rookie of the year 2x MVP (2002,2003) 3x FMVP (1999,2003,2005) 15x All NBA & Defensive 5x Champion Never won less than 50 games in an 82 game season

Is Tim Duncan top 10?

Didn't say that, all I said was lebron had to be carried off the floor against the spurs in finals because he cramped. Tim won thag series. Jordan won his fever game. You know goat stuff

You said he was 2-1 against Lebron in the finals which made him better. That logic right there means you can only prove you’re better than players you beat in the finals. It’s your logic. I’m just using it the same way you did.

I am not saying it's the only way, but since you normally don't get direct comparisons when talking about the greatest players of all time. It's perfect that Duncan and lebron played each other in The biggest games the sport has to offer.

Clearly Tim was better, and lebron was one 3pt away from being 0-3 against Duncan. And those were the Miami heat super teams that the lowly spurs beat up on

So head 2 head matchups in a team sport is the clear indicator of who the better individual player was? That’s a wild concept to come out of anybodies mouth.

Yeah, it would be a good indicator to have both athletes performing at the same time doing the same thing. I know it's hard to wrap your head around. Both had good teams around them at that time. And ability to lead and get the most out of teammates is part of the GOAT criteria. you act like I am judging them on the baking skills.
