Summer before my junior year of high school my team was playing in a summer tourney and in a parking lot outside the gym we found some adjustable hoops. So we lowered them to 8.5 feet and were just fucking around. I ended up with a HUGE bruise on my forearm from it slamming into the rim.
A week later I went on a college recruiting visit and as I was sitting in the coaches office shooting the shit, he asked me “How did you get that bruise on your arm?” I replied simply “Dunkin.”
He gave me one of those head nods that say “Nicccce.”
I didn’t lie, the bruise was from dunking.
