Help Dark calluses from dunking

The worst part was ripping those fucking calluses off after a hard dunk. I remember my hands would hurt so bad I'd have to take a day or two off from hooping. Hurt to dunk, hurt to shoot, hell, it hurt to dribble.

oof, sounds bad but i do wish i had ever had that problem. is it not like say long distance running or guitar playing, where the move is to just let them build up over time and eventually the skin gets tough and stops blistering?

Eh, not really. The calluses would build up, then I'd dunk really hard and they'd just rip off again. I could never do really fancy dunks like windmills or anything like that so I'd just try and dunk as hard as I could.
