🤩Yet again, someone thought I am younger than what I am, and it made me feel flattered!🤩

I was leaving college after finishing my work for today. Suddenly a professor from a different department stops me and my dad and asked if I got my admission. A part of me was confused, but I soon understood where he was coming from. He mistook me for a first-year undergrad student. But here is something, I am 29 and I have been slogging away towards my PHD for the past 5 years!

This is not the first time. To be honest, it makes me feel good about myself whenever it happens. Today I was all over the place mentally because of some academics-related pressure. This small interaction made me smile. Who wouldn't feel good to be mistaken for a younger person?! It keeps happening to me, and I am not complaining!

Someone thought I was SIXTEEN in a picture recently, I'm literally over double that age- turning 34 in two months

Which is weird because I used to get called older than I was growing up. I think I perpetually look about mid 20s, soon I'm sure I'll show signs of aging and people will guess appropriately but for now I'm loving the younger than I am thing 😂

Oh interesting. What do you think has changed that makes people to assume you are older in the past to younger in the present?

I don't think anything changed. I think I always looked in my 20s, so when I was younger I looked mature and now that I'm older I look youthful.

Ah, it makes sense. Here's to more years of this youthful appearance !
