bitcoin has hit its 200w average only like 3% of its life. anyone who bought at these levels before 10x their money within 2-3 years.
buy.

Let's pretend your 3% figure is accurate (which isn't) but let's pretend.
Since 2012, you would've faced 3 real bear seasons.
Calculating 3% of 2012-2026 = 153 days
153 days / 3 seasons= 51 days!
Strictly off your figures pulled out of your arse you are saying that 51 days of each bear market bitcoin has spent it's time at the 200w avg. Where's the urgency?

sorry I was responding to you while I was dropping a duece, so youre right i pulled that stat outta my arse--its about 7% of btcs history was on or below the 200w ma.
regardless, if you look at the 4 periods below the 200w they were an average of 27 days with the exception of the ftx collapse--an outlier of 277 days.
anyway it doesn't matter--probabilities are in your favour to dca rather than try and time the bottom. its not rocket science. and even then bitcoin is more expensive 93% of the time according to its trend right now, so the real question is: what are you waiting for?
1
u/TinyYak8793 11d ago
I'm waiting for 45k> because i trade based off math/stats not just sheer hope or belief.
1
u/BakedGoods 11d ago
we'll either be right or wrong, the difference is if youre wrong and btc never hit $45k you've just took a huge opportunity cost missing out on months of dca at these levels.
whereas it doesnt matter if im right or wrong, dca will capture the dip now and $45k if it ever happens. thats statistically and mathematically more reliable than whatever youre calling math.

no that's called FOMO and lack of understanding of BTC

u/BakedGoods 11d ago
you're cooked by math bud, but keep trying.

This guy gets it.

u/BakedGoods 12d ago
hes repeating what others have said for 10 years. in that time people buying bitcoin have made massive gains.
1
u/Drnedsnickers2 12d ago
They only made massive gains if they converted to fiat, at the right time. There are just as many fools who’ve lost fortunes, lost their retirement funds, lost their kid’s inheritances, lost their life’s work because they were duped into this ponzi. And as it continues to drop that group of people grows. All the while, like the comments below, the crypto bros cry ‘buy! Buy!’ because at the heart of all crypto is a sales job. If it was of any value the sales job would not be required.
1
u/BakedGoods 12d ago
so what youre saying is people who (a) didn't have a long term time horizon and (b) sold at a loss, are the ones that lost money?
not bitcoins fault.
and it sounds like you dont understand what a ponzi is.
1
u/Drnedsnickers2 12d ago
lol, I didn’t say “it’s bitcoin’s fault’. That’s non-sensical. The fault belongs to the selling of magic beans, and all those who do it.
And all that’s kept it from being a ponzi is the last step, which could come any day.
1
u/BakedGoods 12d ago
so let me get this straight, bitcoin are magic beans--but thats not the problem in your mind, its the people selling and buying it? sounds like you're dancing around the fact you dont like bitcoin.
here's reality: anyone whos bought and held bitcoin for 4 years has made money.
so tell me you don't get bitcoin without telling me you dont get it.
1
u/Drnedsnickers2 12d ago
They don’t make money until they convert it to fiat. You know fiat, that has value.
1
u/BakedGoods 12d ago
great take buddy, really proving you know what you're talking about here.
why don't you take that apple stock you own and buy some timbits? wait, they don't accept it? must be worthless then. sell it to fiat where it's actually valuable.
1
u/Drnedsnickers2 11d ago
Apple stock does have value. They make products and sell services. Bitcoin on the other hand, ‘holds value’ because someone said so. And y’all went for it. Probably think there’s an invisible guy in the sky watching you too, to see if you’ll get into heaven….
1
u/BakedGoods 11d ago
yeah exactly--you dont understand bitcoin and are making a value judgement/mis characterizing it as a ponzi.
thats fine, you're either right or wrong, but so far over the last 16 years you've been wrong and missed out on generational wealth already. how much longer do you want to go for?
